She has over 20,000 hp, no cakewalk at 50. I still managed to kill her as a prot warrior, but I had to clear the area out beforehand so I could kite and bandage. She knocks back when she gets close, and hits fairly hard. She's essentially a dungeon boss that spawns in the open world. After she dies, she drops http://www.wowhead.com/?object=179832 on the ground for everyone to pick up.

This one is a *!@#$---literally. As a level 47 enchancement shaman it's only a matter of time before you die. Find a group if you want to take her on...otherwise it's a death trap (her knockbacks are unbelievably hard) since she is essentially a level 49 boss (not an ordinary rare 'silver dragon' spawn).

She spawns where you loot the pillows. For some reason she didn't appear until about 5 minutes after I finished the Kill 'Em With Sleep Deprivation quest and I had to run around a bit to find her.

Dont be fooled by the 20k health, it is 10x more than the normal mobs around her but she hits a little less hard than the mobs around also. On my pet she was hitting for 40 average MH, she dual wields so attacks quick, if your a caster I suggest skipping this mob as she silences frequently also. If you are a warlock/hunter expect frequent charges with knockbacks.

Soloed this as a level 49 Arms warrior. She does not always spawn after looting 20 pillows, so you will likely have to trash your stack periodically and start over. As I was looting the pillows I noticed that every 20-40 I looted would spawn a wave of Sleepy Dark Iron Workers, and the third time I got a wave to spawn it was the chambermaid rather than Dark Irons. YMMV.

The fight with her was honestly very easy, and most of the comments in this article regarding her hitting hard are probably coming from woefully undergeared players; without a shield on she was hitting me for about 40 damage a swing, 100 on the knockback. The only attack she has that seems to do relatively substantial damage is Smother. It was a very easy solo for a mob with such high health, and she is susceptible to all forms of crowd control, including stuns and fear.

As Arms, I pulled her, placed my back to the wall, and popped rend at the start of the fight to keep Taste for Blood popping periodically and spammed mortal strike, overpower, and when full of rage, Imp. Slam. I popped a major health potion once she had me down to 30% and finished the fight at 75% health. The 20k health bar goes a lot quicker than you would think. Any melee DPS will have an easy time of this ; Hunters and Warlocks can also likely do this fight as long as they are mindful of aggro and keep a good eye on their pet's health.

For her to spawn you just have to pick 20 pillows and wait for about 5-10 minutes. Then she will spawn.

Let's try to clear up some misconceptions about this NPC. In order for her to spawn, you do not need to continually pick up and delete dark iron pillows. What happens is that as you start to collect them, an event starts. Two waves of 10 sleepy dark iron dwarves will spawn, then the Chambermaid will spawn. Just hang out in the barracks and keep the trash cleared and you should get it eventually.

The chambermaid has two abilities, a knockback and a PBAOE silence. If you're melee, just back into a corner or against a wall and kill her. Casters have it a little rougher due to the silence, but there's a trick; once she knocks you back, she will not pursue you as quickly as most mobs do. It'll take her some time to get to you, so if you are a caster, do NOT back up against a wall; instead allow the knockback to propel you out of range and allow the silence to wear off. You can probably kite her; I was a feral druid when I did the quest, so I'm not sure how feasible it would be.

Also, if you're lazy, just wait for someone else to kill her. The item which starts the quest drops in the world and you get it even if you didn't kill her.

As a level 49 enhancement shaman, it was a little difficult, but not too bad. had to use one Healing potion, and used Stoneskin, Flametongue, Healing Stream, and Windfury totem. Just be careful of her knockbacks- try to keep your back up against the wall if at all possible. Her silence appeared to only go on every 10 seconds- just enough time for you to pop a Lesser Healing Wave on yourself in between Smothers if you time it right. for other casters, i imagine that you would need to kite her. a lot. hopefully the info helps.

Solo'd as a lvl 50 combat rogue. Did not do the quest requiring 20 pillows beforehand and nobody was in the area at the time, she just seems to be on a random spawn timer like a rare mob. No event seemed to be occurring and no wave of sleepy dwarves spawned, just faught her one on one as she spawned.

This mob looks scarier than she actually is. Having fought and defeated her on a level 49 Retribution Paladin, that's easy to say, but she hit me much lighter than the normal mobs did. She has a knockback that sends you flying a good ways, and if you're at the right trajectory, you will likely end up smack dab in the middle of some Taskmasters and Slavers.

If you're just a straight melee class, back up against one of the walls in the hallway, where the beds are. She'll continue to use her knockback, but you won't go anywhere. If you run low on health, try moving to the side (pay attention to what's behind you) and let her knock you intentionally. In theory, it should give you a couple good seconds to bandage yourself. From there, it's just a matter of enduring and whittling her large HP pool down.

Fairly simple fight, and a fun old world addition to 3.3.

Dear gods, I've never seen a pillow that big. It could be wielded two-handed! I bet'cha she never loses a pillow fight with THAT.

I was also quite surprised to not see her in a nightgown or bathrobe, but perhaps it's too chilly in those caves for that sort of thing.

Solo'd as a shadow priest at 48. She hits very lightly and there's a good window between silences, just backed up against a wall, kept her dotted up and uses spells when able or wanding when silenced, dropped her very quickly.

A level 50 elite in a hallway with the fastest respawning mobs ever? She hits very hard and her knockback will send you in to nearby enemies. If you try and get some distance, she'll charge you and knock you back further.

I happened to run into her, soloed her as a lvl 50 BM hunter. not too hard, but she seemed to have some form of knockback. Sent me flying whenever i got too close.

just attempted to solo on a lvl 45 ret pally with BoA 2H'er, chest and shoulders - decent gear otherwise... hell no. got her to maybe half - you can't do 20K health with her resisting... wait until 47 at least

did the pillow quest, cleared out of the cave & was literally 20 paces from town & saw the yell.
had to run like the wind back to the cave after looking her up, didn't even realize there could be a spawn after doing the quest! lol

if you're working on loremaster or thorium brotherhood rep, I'd just suggest chilling in the sleeping quarters & waiting for her, or do like the others did & keep looting pillows.

Tried to solo her as a level 48 Frost Mage.

It did NOT end well, if you don't proc a LOT of Frostbites then your ass is outta luck, she charges at you when she gets in range and since the Slavers and Taskmasters in the immediate area spawn like crazy you're bound to pull a few after a while.

Not a caster friendly fight at all.

Not even knowing this lady spawned, I was cleaning up around her spawn point trying to finish my other quests. Quite by accident I ended up killing her. I was playing a lvl 50 feral druid in mediocre gear and no BoAs. I just hid in a space between two of the... bunk beds(?) where you pick up the pillows. Her knockback kept me in the nook and out of range of respawn points for the other dwarves. I did manage to aggro a patrol walking past, but easily took him out before finishing her. With 3/3 in Predatory Strikes, every 5 stack of Rip I used it for an instant Regrowth and Rejuvenation (between her Smother, that is). Also ended up popping Innervate midway through. Just took a good deal of patience and many Tiger's Fury pops.

As a ret pally as long as you have repentance this fight is easy. I soloed this as a 50 ret paladin easily. First start the event by killing the first group of sleep dwarves. Then proceed to kill surrounding mobs as fast as possible. When wave 2 of sleepy dwarves come, proceed to kill them. Once dead clear as many mobs around the area before she spawns. Once she spawns, engage her deal as much as possible. When you think you can't take anymore make sure she has NO DOTS on her and hit repentance, you now have 60 seconds to heal up and such. Wait the full 60 seconds to have your repentance back up again in case you need to pop it again. Dps her and hit repentance once more if you think you need to heal up.

Managed to solo her as a 48 rogue in BoA gear but took ahell of alot of effort, had to blind her and bandage used dismantle all stuns.

Well i tried to solo as 55 Mage and it still didn't work (i was specced in AoE killing) i simply couldn't attack her at all she was always charging and silencing because i don't think it has a cooldown of any kind so she really just cant be soloed by a Mage unless you are some sort of hardcore solo spec and above 50 i just don't see this happening without a group or the latter. And she doesn't hit all that hard but she constantly charges, smothers and knocks you back almost all at the same time very very quickly you need to have her snared all the time or you will be screwed as a Mage.

i was able to solo her as a 47 enchancement draenei shammy with average gear.
Totems used:
Earth:Stoneskin totem
Fire:Searing Totem
Water:Mana Spring totem
Air:Windfury totem
also had water shield up all the time.
her silence was the most annoying thing on the fight.Was using stormstrike,lava lash and fire nova to get her down.Also i had to heal with lesser healing wave a lot (dont try healing waves cause or you will get a knockback or silence),and i needed a superior healing potion and the draenei racial gift of the naaru (i suppose you dont need em if you heal when its appropriate,i needed em cause of lag problems).
took her down on the 3rd try,could have done it at second but 2 mobs respawned and took me down.
So clear,hit and heal and you are done.
also i had my back on a wall,so her knockback didnt take me to other enemies.

I soloed her as a level 51 fury warrior in battle stance. Kept sunder armor stacked, as well as demoralizing shout and thunder clap on her at all times. I'd suggest sundering before using retaliation. A potion was needed. Very close fight. Glyph of Bloodthirst would probably make things go so much easier, but not needed.

Extremely easy as a 48 Heirloomed Shadow Priest, simply keep SW:Pain and Devouring Plague on her between Smothers, the healing from Plague and Vampiric Embrace were more than enough to keep me alive. Her damage is very very low, 30-50 MH 10-25 OH on cloth. Moderate attack speed considering she dual wields. The main issue is getting yourself pinned where you won't aggro mobs if they respawn while you're fighting her.

Tried killing her as 53 rogue, unfortunately did not make it (due to bad luck?)

Here are few things to keep in mind when fighting her:

1. Dont let her push you atop the ceilings, this will cause her to evade and eventually reset.

2. If you stun / CC her and attempt to bandage, make sure you're not having smother debuff on you.

3. She seems to despawn after about 20 minutes

easily soloable as a feral cat druid should have started with prowl+pounce but didn't you just keep your dots up rake and rip with 5 combos and then with feral swiftness shift out and healing touch(nurturing instinct helps for this kind of stuff). Although once i did fail to heal due to her smother ability. Did the sleepy workers in bear form.

Silly easy as a Demonology warlock, level 47. Make sure you have the blueberry (or felguard I suppose if you have it now) out, DoT her up, and shadow bolt spam. If you catch aggro, she isn't immune to fear, so don't be afraid to use it. The only reason I died was because she knocked me back into three other adds. Killed her, took the pillow while my voidwalker kept them busy, then he died and so did I. If not for the adds, I would have easily taken her down without dying.

Just tried to down her, but it was bugged. She kept resetting after each charge she did, no way to kill her. My toon was a lvl 50 rogue in heirlooms, so no problem there. I got her to 8k HP once before another reset. Eventually she just despawned.

easily soloed as a 45 pally holy pally. instant heals are huge and stun and heals also work. turn her so your back is to a wall and she will just push you back so mobs are not a big factor. your silenced for about 6 seconds so spam heal right after cause you dont have many chances

Just killed her. 46 Disc Priest. All I did was bubble self and dot her and bounce around. She doesn't hit that hard (100dmg at most per hit) The annoyance is her silence and knock back.

There should be a sleeping quarters added on to BRD. When you kill all the sleeping dark irons in the room, she would spawn and be an official boss.

Still exists in 4.0.3a, but takes a hell of a long time to appear. I was able to wait about 5 minutes for her, then go down below and complete the quest to banish the firelord guy, and THEN she yelled. I ran back up praying she'd still be there, and she was! She kicks you all over the place though, and Smothers as a silence. I popped a pot as a 53 shadow priest but killed her. Unfortunately, the trinket you get is still the same, making it worse than the updated one you get for stealing the pillows. (use effect +11 stamina).

I was in the area when she spawned and yelled: "Thieves! Scallywags! Rapscallions! Come face me gigantic pillas!" Interested that a mob said that I search her on Wowhead and found that she was rare but didn't see her abilities. I can honestly say that was one of the hardest fights I have done. I'm a 52 arcane mage so as you can imagine, everything is a long cast. But after several cool downs and near death seconds I was able to down her my 1st try. made it possible because it casts so the AI of the mob would charge to interrupt which would give me some range. Good luck to any mage crazy enough to fight her!

Level 51 Shadow Priest. Quite easy, just took long and she has around 20k life. I figured I needed the pillows and she was already spawned when I came in, so started collecting. Realized she hits pretty low and apart from the knockback and silences I just dotted her up and killed.

Was quite easy but then I can easily heal :)

The problem is that the 16 pillows quest you hand in actually gives you a better trinket than this one. (10 minute CD and +11 stamina instead of this quests 30 minute CD and no stat one).

On my level 52 lock: Main problem that I had was her repeatedly pulling other mobs in, and worse... knocking me back into the two boss fight at the far end. (First time she knocked me into them, the next time I craftily avoided that, only to have her knock my minion into them... very aggravating.

She despawned as i was just about to fight her for the fourth time... also annoying.

If you really want the fight, don't turn in the pillow quest until you've defeated her. (Note that with Cata's easy quest turnins, you'll likely have turned in the pillow quest before she spawns.) (Of course, you can always wait around for someone else to start the event.)

Solo'd as a lvl 51 rogue, so it is possible. Altho im in heirlooms and every pvp gear you can get for that level. It took a minute or 2, used 1 healing potion and recuperate.

Not repeatable, however this quest has NOTHING to do with looting pillows. After looting your first pillow a timer starts and the first wave of sleep deprived workers comes, then the second wave, then she will spawn. You don't have to destroy your pillows and loot new ones. Looting 20 pillows doesn't help this situation at all. Loot the 16 for the quest and wait around if you really want to do this quest. I don't suggest waiting to do this quest as it does take a bit to get her out. She charges, silences, and knocks you back. Very easy to solo as any character. I've successfully done it on a boomkin, mage, rogue, priest, and shaman so far.

wow seriously you dont need to keep deleting your pillows.... A timer starts when you grab your first pillow, i'd estimate about 5 mins, and a group of sleepy workers will appear and attack you. Blast them with an AoE or whatever, and wait another 5 mins. a second group will spawn, take them out like you did with the first, and go back to waiting ( or even better, instead of sitting on your thumbs, take out the other mobs in the room, and gather the rest of your pillows). after another 5 mins (so altogether its about a 10-15 minute wait) Chambermaid Pillaclencher will appear.

Yes shes tricky to beat, id say shes about as tough as a dungeon boss, but only because of the knockback and silence. However, she can be soloed, if you are careful. I whacked her with a level 50 elemental shaman wearing green gear from questing, no problem, even with the silence. here's what i did:

First, back into a corner (there are some boxes nearby that work great for this). Do this right, and her knockback will have no effect, because u hit a wall. next, be ready with your heal spells, you are gonna need them with the silence. Drop your totems (flametongue, mana spring, wrath of air, and strength of earth are what i went with) start auto attack and hit her with your Primal Strike whenever you can. also, keep water shield up, and keep refreshing it as often as you can, you will need the mana to heal yourself whenever you arent silenced. Finally, keep whittling away at her hp, it takes a little while, and whenever you can hit her with your flame shock and lava burst. just remember to keep ur water shield up and heal when u can, and you will be fine.

when she dies, she doesnt drop much, just some crap loot, but next to her corpse will be a MASSIVE blue ornamental pillow. search that, and you will get an item that starts a quest. turn it in for some easy exp, and evonice's landin pilla. this trinket is incredible handy, as it slows your fall speed, and you dont need it equiped to do so, just keep it in your bag, and whenever u feel up for some aerial combat, or just some cliff jumping, have some fun with it lol :) hope this is helpful.

As a level 49 Prot. Paladin, I find her quite easy to kill. This is not ment to be trolling, so please do not vote this down. What I used, is a Hammer of Justice and some heals.

I gathered pillows in the Dark Iron sleeping quarters of the Slag Pit in Searing Gorge. Chambermaid pillarclencher spawned but I left thinking I would get the next quest from her. Now I cannot get her to spawn and have tried killing all the npcs in the sleeping quarters but no Chambermaid. If you know how to do this please let me know? Soloed her as a lvl 51 fury warrior about 15% of her health I was forced to switch to defense stance and equip Blocking Targe so I could use Shield Wall and shield block plus used Superior Healing Potion

The Chambermaid was already spawned when I entered the hall. Don't know if someone did the quest before me and simply left her up, but I have a feeling no one had been through there in quite some time. There were two untouched rarespawns in the slag pit. That says to me, either: the Chambermaid can spawn on her own, or once she pops, she will stand in the hallway for hours until someone engages her.

As of 5.0, her health has skyrocketed to 42,760-and with the increase to NPC damage, she hits harder than ever before. Was able to solo her as an arcane mage, but be careful about kiting her-running around too much made her bug out and evade on me.

First post ever but thought I'd give this one an update as I've just completed this for my level50 using my level90 after doing it wrong first time round. These are the steps I followed...

Do all the Searing Gorge pre-Qs so that you are now on Kill 'em With Sleep Deprivation Kill 'em With Sleep Deprivation.

At this point you should fly any alts that have completed this quest but ran off and handed it in before she spawned, to the sleeping quarters. I parked mine between the two packs of Dwarves down there. Note that the alts do NOT have to do any of the Searing Gorge quests.

Enter the sleeping quarters and loot ONE pillow.
Sit and wait - after 1 minute the first pack of sleepy Dark Iron Dwarves spawns (kill them).
Sit and wait - after around 3 minutes the second pack of sleepy Dark Iron Dwarves spawns (kill them).
Sit and wait - after another 5 minutes Dark Iron Pillamaster spawns.
Kill her (I have no idea how hard this is as a level50ish as I killed her with my 90) & loot the pillow (appears as an object on the ground, not actual loot from the Chaimbermaid).

A pillow (Pillamaster's Ornate Pillow) will appear on the ground which will let you loot Chambermaid Pillaclencher's Pillow which when handed in to Evonice Sootsmoker nets you Evonice's Landin' Pilla. Loot this and exit game, login with your alt you parked there and loot the pillow again.

Finally got this to work!

When the first wave of dwarves didn't appear (waiting 10 mins after looting the first pillow), I just:

typed /reload
abandoned the quest
accepted the quest again
looted a few pillows and stayed in the barracks.

While clearing the odd re-spawned guard, the first wave of dwarves appeared after about 3 minutes; the second wave another 3 minutes after that; and the boss finally appeared about 4 minutes later.

Be warned: after the new pre-BFA squish, the Chambermaid still has 27k HP. It took me two shadowfiend cooldowns to bring her down (about 6 minutes) thanks to her Smother.
