I'd have to say "What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been" and the mount that goes with it would be the greatest achievement I've had in game. I think a year long Meta was a great idea.

The most exciting acquisition of my wow career so far -- my firehawk from H Rag 25. :) It is a stunningly beautiful mount and I lusted after it the moment I saw it. It also reflected an achievement which meant a great deal to me....
To experience the true feeling of beign a paladin by completing the charger quest line I was very happy that I have done that quest.
getting fiery warhorse from karazhan, it was late at night when i randomly decided to go kill the huntsman after being in a group farming booty bay rep with a guildie and BAM i see it and i was really excited wanted this mount since BC
To have helped in the Opening of the Gates of Anq'raj, and held the title "Scarab Lord"
So sweeeeeeet! :PWhen i got my first max lvl back in the days.I had so fun and i still have playing WoW.And my first raid ofc.
The pair of warglaives I got on my monk in 5 runs!
I would have to say getting the Insane in the Membrane achievement before it was nerfed. Making a rogue and leveling it just to pickpocket the lockboxes outside Blackrock Mountain for Ravenholdt. Running Dire Maul for the Shendrala books etc. Also making the cards for Darkmoon Decks on my Inscriptor. It was all done the hard way but when I got that achievement, it was like a huge wave of relief came over me.
Getting a full set of Dungeon Tier .5 on my Priest. EPIC
Finishing my infusions for Shadowmourne!
Achieved my first realm-first this expansion for Heroic Mogu'shan Vaults. Was very fun!
Magic Rooster Egg
What have you been most excited to achieve/acquire in-game?The most exciting thing ever for me was actually finding a group that could kill the lich king. I have been playing since original and it only took me from LK expansion all the way to pandaria to finally kill the lich king......
It might be cliché, but I loved going for my Thunderfury and Sulfuras. The purely luck based end of running for these pieces week after week made it more interesting to me than the quest based legendaries we have now. Don't take that the wrong way, I think that the quest based model is the better method for the overall community to generalize the reward per week, but leaving it almost entirely up to luck is more interesting.
My paladin need that little angel.
I love my Rusted Proto-Drake. I will never ride another mount except this one!But I also have to mention my Haunted Momento. That would be the last thing I'd ever give up.
I literally just got my Ashes of Al'ar yesterday.
