I found Fertile Soil in the waters north of Falanaar in Suramar. Took about 30 seconds to pop out a Felwort once planted.

You can get another Felwort Seed from picking bloomed Felwort, also it drops Blood of Sargeras.

Felwort Seed initially drops from Felwort, which you can usually only harvest while on the Herbalist-only Felwort world quest. You must have Felwort Harvesting Rank 2, which you can get after looting a quest item while harvesting Felwort, which you will likely get on your first try.

Felwort Seed needs to be planted in Fertile Soil which can be found e.g. in Val'sharah just underneath the "RIUS" of Grove of Cenarius on the zone map.

Felwort Seed, after planted, within 20-30 seconds will grow into another Felwort which can be harvested even after having done the Felwort Quest. The Felwort Seed will be used up. However, this newly grown Felwort can also drop another Felwort Seed, etc.

For fertile soil fly to the ironhorn enclave flight path in highmountain. There is a bunch near the lake, right next to the flight path.

The seed is consumed on use.

After completing a Felwort world quest, I got a herbalism quest which rewarded the Felwort rank 2 herbalism technique. I did the world quest again today, and got a seed from picking the Felwort.

To plant the seed, find some Fertile Soil - a good spot I went to is north of the Lorlathil flight path in Val'sharah (7 soil patches). It changes into a Felwort Pustule, which then grows into a harvestable Felwort. I picked the one I grew and got an additional seed (which I planted here again, no seed the second time though).

Just looted 5 felwort, got a seed which gave another seed, then another.... think i got lucky but i like it :D

Hehe, from my seed i got from my World Quest i got 3 seeds(keep plating and looting a new seed),
so all in all today got 24 felwort's :D

PSA: Don't accidentally jump or otherwise cancel while gathering a plant from the fertile soil. You won't be able to get it.

Once you complete the Rank 3 gathering quest by killing Cenarius in the Emerald Nightmare raid, it looks like the interaction with the chance to get a Felwort Seed from harvesting felwort is a double roll. A couple times I was able to get 2 seeds from a single gathering, and was able to get a lot more felwort seeds overall than I expected. Turned 35 seeds into 376 felwort.

do not leave your seed or someone will steal it since for some reason blizz made it possible to steal from others just had that happen while i was alt tabbed.

Careful with these other people can and will steal your plants when they pop. Some scumbag just ran up and stole 3 Felwort plants from me as they spawned.

Fertile soil can also be found around the lake near felblaze ingress.
Approx Pos is 63,22.

Be aware: I planted these before forming a party and then invited people for a group quest. Upon inviting players they were able to gather the felwort and I was unable to do so. There wasn't even that 5 second rule to gathering. Seems like a pretty big bug.

Herbs are shared with other people. Me as an alliance was planting some herbs when a horde came across, he started looting my bloomed plants and i was able to loot his plants. So you might want to do this in group for max loot / gold making. When you are planting foxlower ; other people are able to steel the flowers from the fox that runs.

Blizz stop letting people loot Felwort seed a player plants.
When Flying will be a thing Druids with Fly form or any player with Sky golem can steal your gold big time.

Although listed as non-consumable, this item is indeed consumed upon use. There is not an infinite amount of charges.

I can confirm that the seeds are automatically deposited in your reagent bank, but you cannot plant them if you don't have them on you.

The Felwort Seed sells for ~1.6k, the felwort itself goes for ~120-150g each.

Note: When you plant these, they quickly become ready to pick and can be picked by any herbalist. They will show up on the minimap if enabled; so don't plant and leave, or plant a lot and leave unattended for any period or they will be snagged by others.
Also: You can only see the nodes if you have an eligible seed in your bags; the seeds in your bank/reagent bank will not work anymore.

Near the talking tree in Stormheim (69,54) are a dozen of patches of fertile soil right next to each other. Good place to plant the seed.

Found a bunch of fertile soil in Val'sharah, Grove of Cenarius 54, 67.

It's important to wait about 30 seconds for the pustule to grow to full Felwort, each looted a Blood of Sargeras.

I got 48 Felwort from 1 seed! This is not normal. Usually, you get 5 or 6 and might spawn another seed. Today, I kept spawning 1-2 seeds. I didn't know it was even possible to get this many so I thought I'd share. Happy planting.

If they did not already fix it then we herbalists need to get together and ask Blizzard to address the issue of players looting from a felwort node that was planted by someone else. It is clearly not a good move and really an insanely greedy thing to do, but some people are that way....which is why blizzard has it set so others can not loot your kills unless they helped kill it and are from the same faction as you. Perhaps it would be a good idea to 'fix' the felwort looting so that only the person that plants it can loot it. In any event, it is helpful to let Blizzard know if there is something in the game that is so unfun that it is causing multiple players to come here and air their grievances over the situation. There is no point in letting the very very small percent of players that behave so poorly to continue to do so.

Assuming one seed gives: 5.5 Felwort and a 33 % chance to get another seed.

We get: Felwort Seed = 33/4*Felwort

This tells you how much a seed is worth If Felwort costs:

I planted one in SL prepatch, it turned into a felwort non-interactive object which I had to walk over for it to ''grow'' and be interactive. Gave 5 Felworts+ 1Blood of sargeras
