This could be a little advantage in PvP. Fought yesterday against several warp stalkers with my mage. Frostnova would be a very good counter against their warp.

But i'm planing to tame one for my huntah. :)

This indeed is a great spell. Warp stalkers have a great advantage and can easily attack the enemy quickly. This is a great pet for a hunter. Terrorkar Forest has some Warp Stalkers near Shattrath City. They are level 63+

This also makes for an interesting way of aiding your Tank in a group. I've had a situations where i was tanking several mobs at a time. The moment i lose aggro on a mob, he would have his pet Warp to the mob and Use intimidation on it, giving me Pleanty of time to Taunt the mob, and gain some aggro on it. If you use this tactic be sure to keep your pet from gaining aggro on a potencial target, as it'll make it hard for the tank to pull it off your pet. In a few groups i've done, it's prevented some squishie cloth wearers from getting eaten by a particularly nasty mob.

When using a Warp Stalker for grinding just be sure to give your pet a second to attack as attacking at the same time and the Warp going off the mob runs just out of range of your pet since it warps behind the mob. Basically your pet is chasing after the mob since it couldn't get the Growl off before you started to attack.

Intimidate is an extremely high threat ability similar to a pet's Growl but better; the stun was added as a secondary affect later on. Your tactic is fundamentally flawed.

Warp

This seems to be the fastest closing ability pets have. Dash and Dive are great, but even with it's range limitation, for everyday grinding Warp seems to outperform.

Me and a guild mate were just playing with this spell:

Can't be used out of line of sight
Seems effective against other hunters, since you can bypass traps
On heavy AoE boss fights (Prince for Example) your have a bit more sustained DPS from your pet if your BM (In theory, since even with Dash it takes a second or 2 extra to get to your target)
Will not warp back to you (Yes I'm aware it says to your enemy in the tooltip, my guild mate thought it might be able to)
Even out of range the Warp Stalker will get into range and warp to your opponent
Will not get the Warp Stalker out of CC effects (Traps, Fears, etc)
Will not auto-cast it if your opponent is turning around
May sometimes waste it if your target is charging you instead of just simply running up to the target
Will not auto-cast if a target is near you (Unknown range, guessing about 5 yards) (So no anti-rogue)
Warp Salkers will warp back after a fear/cc ability

All in all I think this is one of the cooler pet talents in BC so far. I'm gonna change one of my cats to my pvp and give my warp stalker a chance to do instances.

One more advantage..Hunter's pets may get slowed & not be able to take aggro in time or cant get to an enemy if he's trying to flee.This skill is Great for such times!

This looks a great grinding / soloing in general pet skill. By missing the first 4 attacks gives the hunters pet even lower downtime than normal.

I really like this pet as a grinding pet in 3.1. It can move fast between mobs to gather them up, meaning you can aoe them down faster. With Thunderstomp beeing a talent in 3.1 threat isn't an issue. Some people prefer a bear instead for swipe, but as an oldtimer tank I'm of the belief that more threat once you already outthreat the dps is pointless.

Only problem I have is that he autocast warp when he is already in melee, meaning that it's wasted apart from the extra avoidience. Might macro the spell and cast it manually instead.

As of 3.2, I'd say this pet is the best for Single Targets. I use this when solo'ing Group quests or bosses. With the Mend Pet nerfed to the ground (non-spellpower based) Dodge is the best thing to have going for your Pet. The only problem with the Warp Stalker pet is that it will sometimes kite the Target places, and it's really annoying to chase it down. I solo'd Durn in Nagrand but had to keep running back and forth because of this blink.

edit: 10.5 Second cooldown if specced with Hunter's Longevity.

This spell goes through the Paladin spell Divine Shield. Not sure if it will go through other Immunity effects.

This pet ability is really quite lackluster when considering that Concussive Shot is now capable of keeping a target snared 80% of the time (100% of the time if glyphed) when used on cooldown.

I would've much preferred that they kept the original Warp ability, since it was far better suited to the tanking role Tenacity pets tend to most commonly be used for, and was the defining ability of the warp stalker.

I think at very least, they could add a high threat generation component to it to make it more appropriate for the warp stalker's role as a tenacity pet.

Assuming one would choose (for whatever reason) a warp stalker or crocolisk for a pet (both being tenacity pets that share this ability similarly), the only noteworthy differences between this and a crocolisk's Ankle Crack are the following:
-- Time Warp has a 5-sec longer CD than Ankle Crack (Edge to AC)
-- Ankle Crack is melee range, while Time Warp can reach 25 yards (Edge to TW)
