the Springtail Warren is underground, there are 3 entrances. You can find those entrances; 1 just northeast and 2 south of the Crane Statue in the Heartland. You will find Mina inside along with a bunch of virmen inside the underground cave, she'll be standing on top of a large carrot.

There are three entrances to the cave. The entry closest to the quest giver is the easiest to access. The coordinates are 43.6, 35.0.

Go down into the cave, stick to the right side of the wall. You will likely have to kill at least one maybe two mobs. Turn right at the bottom of the grade and you will see Mina Mudclaw standing on top of the giant carrot.

Do not try to get to her through the entrance closest to the farmer. It's longer, and it's filled with monsters. I could hardly set foot in there without getting mobbed and quickly killed, until my gear was getting damaged and I had to bubble hearth, which took me back to the Jade Forest. It was a nightmare...

Sorry, but this is nuts. There are indeed three entrances, but all three are guarded. There's no such thing as "maybe one or two mobs"; there's a crowd of them and they all run to the fight.

The only way I've found to make this workable is to use The Orange Painted Turnip to fear them away for a bit.

I am not sure why people are having problems with this. The "large group" of vermin is split into several different groups of 2-3 mobs each. Pull one set at a time and if needed use CC.

You know, as I have never been much of a gardener nor farmer, I never really thought about rabbits as much of a pest nor threat.

This quest has certainly changed all that! I now actively look for RL rabbits to destroy!

Don't be dumb like me and think the cave is in the side of one of the hills or mountains, it's actually in the ground, more like a burrow or den than a cave. I found one at coordinates 43.28,41.10, which is just to the right of the "D" in Heartland if you're looking at your map.

Entrance to the cave is right in front of the quest giver. If you are the only one around and all spawns are up in the cave it is DENSELY packed with virmen that flee when low on health. Slow and steady pulling them back out of range so they don't flee into other groups is the best strategy.

This is what I did as a Frost Mage: I was having a lot of difficulty and kept dying... the last time I died I died right by Mina so I wouldn't have to go into the cave again. When I resurrected I took my time and killed them one at a time.

The larger rabbits come in pairs so I sheeped one and killed the other. It's very important not to use any AoE (including Fire Bomb & Ice Lance) because it could easily pull the other mobs. Also, DO NOT let the rabbits hop away because this is how the other mobs get pulled.

When you exit go to the far left exit because the quest giver is right up there.

This quest is a royal PITA on my prot pally, at least with quest gear. It's bad enough these guys come in packs, but then to have them do knockbacks and hit like Mack trucks (at least on me) is a bit much to swallow.

Used the entrance closest to the farmer to avoid the above ground mobs. Once in the cave, I could pull them in groups of 3-5 and AOE them down, except they'd get low on health, run off, and come back with more mobs. I managed to get it done, by working slowly, using interrupt, stun, and cooldowns...and LOS'ing the pulls to the little alcove on the left as much as possible. Ended up getting beat down, but managed to live. Patience and luck was key.

I strongly suggest doing the quest in a tank spec or grabbing a friend (or 4) to help out. Not looking forward to do this on my caster alts.

1) Don't go into any cave.
2) Head for the question mark above ground and die while you're standing directly over it.
3) Returning as a ghost, enter the cave (I used entrance 43.6, 35.0)
4) When you're standing next to Mina, the 'resurrect' button will show.
5) Resurrect and turn in quest.

The dieing on the question mark works like a charm did it first time... One my preist, i turned in the quest started running and popped my PW shield ran straight up the tunnel. When my speed boost wore off, i then popped my racial (Worgen) Speed boost and ran right outta the cave.

Verified as completely broken. All cave entrances have been sealed. GM mentioned that this quest will be fixed sometime in the future with no ETA.

Actually, that's only if someone else cleared the cave b4, because when I got there, after reading this post, I didn't know that I would find a cave full of many packs of mobs and aggroed a few when running inside...

As others have said, go easy and slowly! Those annoying bunnies remind me of the dreadful murlocs with their running away on low health, and playing a melee class when I did this 1st time, doesn't help as you can't hit them from far and if you chase them, you won't have to worry about them bringing back reinforcements as you'll body pull them yourself, due to so tightly packed groups of mobs...

Expect an annoying quest and you won't be disappointed.

No problem for an arcane mage. All i needed was the spell invisibility. Ijust waited by her in the cave for spell to recover and got out of there without kills. Too easy

I did this quest this morning on my prot paladin, wearing quest gear. It wasn't easy, but there are two things that will help you.

1) In an earlier quest, you picked up an orange turnip trinket that will fear the rabbits. That's the key to doing this if you're not a tank. If you fear them before they aggro you, they won't come hunting you when they get back. If you're stupid like me, you'll tuck it in the bank or worse, sell it. I realized I could use it, but since I was on my paladin tank and I like big fights, I decided to go screw with the rabbits.

2) If you ARE a tank like I was, and you WANT to fight them all for the XP, then watch for a bleed debuff (I think it's called ankle bite or something). When I had 10 stacks of that on me, it ripped away about half of my 219K life in a few seconds. As a paladin, I would let my holy power build up so that when this debuff hit me I could Word of Glory myself. I also ran Seal of Insight the entire time.

But seriously, use the trinket and fear the rabbits. That's what I'm going to do when I come back here on my alts.

Just did this one on my Frost Mage, it's not so bad, but go slow and steady.
Don't head for the ? on the mini map - the entrance is just by the questgiver, just turn around and walk down the slope from his hut and the tunnel opening is right in front of you!
As people have said, these guys run when near dying, so clear the mobs from around the top of the tunnel first, there's 2 or 3 loose ones with 175k or so. There's a little group of three lower energy ones (50k or so) that run down the tunnel and back up on a loop, so wait til they run out and kill them at the top, they scared the heck outta me when I first walked down.
Once they're dead and you enter the tunnel, it opens out to a bigger tunnel which forks to left and right. There's 4/5 pairs of the big guys dotted about, as well as another group of the tiddlers, but keep to the right wall and follow it round, and you should only have to kill 6/8 or so. CC one of each pair if you can, and try to finish 'em off quick so they don't scatter. Mina is just around to the right, standing on a giant carrot playing a weird game of catch with a Virmin that likes having carrots chucked at him o_O You run up the small end of the carrot to get her, complete the quest and pick up the new quest to escort her out.
As a mage, I Invisibilitied right up to Mina from the entrance (15sec), handed in the quest, then fought my way back out again with her. The mobs don't go for her. I sheeped one of each of the pairs and killed the other quick, and only took a few mins to get out.
I only died once, and that was before I found the entrance, when I was running round above ground looking for the question mark followed by about 10 of the little monsters!

A quick and easy suggestion:

If you have already done this quest with another toon and are now level 90; use that toon to clear the area and do not loot the mobs. Simply bring both toons (your level 90 and your level 86+) to the hole/cave area. Clear the mobs with your lvl 90 toon and log out, then log back in with the lower level toon. The mobs will be cleared and you can run in and speak with Mira, get the escort quest from her and exit the cave/hole safely. The only downside to this suggestion is you won't be able to loot the vermin mobs, but it is a fast and effective way to complete this quest... Make sure to avoid the elite that circles the crane sculpture and you should be fine.

I found the easiest way in accidentally.. I died. Mina is on top of a carrot in the cave at (41.32, 38.15). If you happen to die above surface in that general area, accept your resurrection down in the cave. I was able to resurrect right next to her, eat something and then make my way out.

No way are there only one or two mobs to fight, there are a ton, but at least I was able to find her while I was dead instead of wandering around the cave and so I was able to just fight my way back.

No problem with my 87 Rogue: Stealth in, walk up to the lady, finish the first quest, get the next quest, stealth out. She won't stealth, of course, but neither will she aggro mobs.

Did this on my DK during launch of the expansion. Easy quest. Don't really understand all the @#$%^ing going on here. Kill rabbits, save the girl, and gtfo of there the same way you came. If you're quick, very little would have respawned.

Was confused a bit by this one, since the ? on my minimap wasn't dull yellow, so thought was on the surface not underground.

Entrance to the underground burrow is at 43.3,40.7 and another at 44.2,38.5.

When do you get this quest? I just did it on my druid and I can't seem to get it on my warrior, who is further along in the tillers chain. Some explanation would be very appreciated, and for the record I've confirmed the daughter is still back down in the place, and I've confirmed on my druid she doesn't respawn there. So is there something I'm missing?

For Druids:
What I did was tried to get to Mina from the Southern Cave entrance.I managed to get close to her before i got killed, then run back and resurrected in front of her hand over the quest and accept the new one to take her to her father, then i cat form run out and got to farm without even killed.
P.S. as soon as you get to farm use your shadomeld ability to vanish from attackers side of view

Save yourself a lot of time, and don't worry about the coordinates, the cave entrance is right next to the quest giver, it's in plain sight so it was hard to see. Just turn around in front of the quest giver and look to the right, the cave entrance is right there in the field with those little critters running out of it.

Levelling an alt I now remember why I never came back to VotFW to level, because of this stupid quest. It is so dense in this little farm that there will loads of death.

Anyway, as a monk I did this:

1. Run into warren entrance
2. Serpent Kick or Chi Torpedo to Big Carrot
3. Die
4. Rez next to the dancing panda chick. There will be no aggro up there
5. Turn and accept, quick.
6. Jump down and Serpent Kick/Chi Torpedo your butt outta there, she will follow.
7. (Optional) /rude the nearest rabbit thing to feel better.

Ir rook several tries with my leather wearing Monk, but after you get Mina Mudclaw and she follows you to an exit, mount-up (inside the cave when your icon lights up) and fly back to Den Mudclaw to turn in the quest.

Very much worth noting that Mina does not aggro mobs, so if you're a stealth class you can stealth in, find her, then stealth back out.
