This quest chain is so disappointing. You spend ages chasing the bomb, actually going right next to it or even on the balloon transporting it, yet no one ever has the idea to blow it up while it's inside a Horde base, or taking the balloon to go and drop it on one of such bases. And eventually, you get to watch an Alliance base getting destroyed as you failed to stop the bomb.

This is frustration at its finest.

As always there are both sides to the story.

If you play the Horde quest chain you will find out that the Horde did not approve of this bomb at all.
In fact, when Hellscream finds out it was created and used, he dismisses warlord Krom'Gar from duty by throwing him off a cliff. But not before he gives him a speech saying no member of the Horde kills innocent druids and murders children. He tells Krom'Gar that his behaviour is without honour, and Hellscream would have never approved of it if he'd known beforehand.

Hellscream may be a warmongerer, but he still has honour, as do other members of the Horde.
Except the Forsaken, they are downright evil, and a disgrace to the Horde, as Hellscream himself finds as well.

This quest is currently not working on my server. This is 1 day after big patch. What happens is I accept the quest. We ride to grove. The npc spots balloon + bomb. bomb drops boom. Npc just sits there until it disappears and I fall and take 77k damage. i can dismount and parachute down if i wish to avoid the damage Kinda stuck until this is fixed I guess.

This quest must have been written by imbeciles. Why the hell nobody ever thought to blow it up while it was IN the goblin oil rig base is beyond me...

This quest made me so happy. The quest to save the "young druids" were so annoying, and they were so annoying, running back and forth like fools instead of actually figuring out a way to save themselves - such a disgrace to the druid class.

It was so immensely satisfying watching them get rekked by that bomb.

Anyone else noticed that the bomb comes from the direction of Sludgewerks in this quest but from Cliffwalker Post in the Horde quest chain?

Description

The Horde have signaled a retreat. Look now, they fall back from the field of battle - portends of disaster.

We must make one final descent into Thal'darah Grove. I could not live with myself if any of our young druids were left behind.
