Also summons a non-elite Tidecrusher. Easily soloable.

Oh wow, easiest guy to kill ever.

Was on my mage, had a Fingers of Frost proc running out, so naturally I didn't want to waste it.
Ice Lance this guy while I'm on the plank, I start running down, water elemental starts shooting off at him.
He gets on the giant, but the giant doesn't aggro onto me or the water elemental.
Nuked him while he was on top of the giant, he dies, quest complete, giant despawns.

Would help to know which room he's in. I'm on the second ship which fits the coordinates but he seems to be absent. Maybe someone just killed him.

Dreadbeard is Level ? (Boss), but don't let that scare you, he IS Boss level, but scaled for 45s (His base level is ~48 ish.) and he's very soloable. It's funny though to watch an 85 try this and get a string of missed attacks. (And then get burned by Deathwing as he burns Tanaris TO THE GROUND again)

I tried to do this quest today but it was bugged. I flew to the ship and landed and engaged the Captain. But he seemed to have summoned a large type ogre monster who raged and sang into the boat along with the Captain. It still showed I was engaged in battle with at least one of them but I could find hide nor hair of either of them. I left the ship on my own two feet until the battle mode stopped. I then walked back and on the ship but still no one is there. Guess I will try again later.

After accepting this quest I mounted my Mekgineer's Chopper, drove into the sea behind the questgiver and swam to the ship where the captain was, killed the one guy on the dock, ran the plank and killed the captain, then swam back again to turn in the quest :) Mount makes good swimming time :)

Description

This is getting pretty fun, but let's not forget we're here for Gnomeregan!

We spotted the captain of the Southsea over on one of his boats to the south, past where all the fighting is. He's all alone on his little boat, undefended!

If you go take care of him, we'll have the rest of these pirates mopped up in no time.
