I did this with my level 17 gnome Warlock and my friend, a level 14 dwarf Paladin. If you clear all the troggs in the area except the three bosses, this gives you room to fear one of them, while you and a friend work on the other two. Best strategy is to focus on Grawmug first. Voidwalker can tank the other while the third is running around in fear, though the VW tends to get in the way in tight spaces like caves. Once Grawmug is down, you should be able to finish the one your VW has weakened, then take down the one you feared originally.

level 17 warlock: i had no problem what so ever in killing these 3. just send your voidwalker in, immolate, curse of agony and corruption the level 17, start dotting one of the 16's, when he comes close fear him and apply immolation too. turn around and life tap drain life the 17 till hes dead. start attackign the second 16 while you refear the first and redot. the feared one will die quickly, and the one youre dps'ing should die after a little while too. You may have to heal your pet abit, but thats ok. Finished up with 90% health, 40% mana, and a voidwalker on 50%.

Soloed as 16 warlock. Not easy, but highly soloable. Used a healthstone, but both me and my vw survived the fight, and I had a sacrifice in back-up in case it got ugly. Same strat as above, send vw in and get aggro, dot up, fear one while dotted, rince and repeat.

Only thing to remember: Keep right when entering the cave. I kept left, and ended up clearing most of the cave in search of the mobs. :)

I can´t get this quest. I could only get the quest The Trogg Threat and when I turned it in I couldn´t get the In defence of the King's Lands quest. Does anyone know what to do?

One thing nobody really tells you is where the room is in the cave. When you enter the cave it will turn to the left and then branch into 3 directions. Take the path on the right and you will see a small stream running off into a pool. Cross this stream and head just a little further forward and watch to your left and you will see a small room just before the path turns to the right. The 3 are all together in that room.

Soloed as a level 17 priest. Burn one really quickly, run to deaggro the other two. Repeat. Simple.

For you RPers out there, one of the quest rewards, the Dwarven Defender, looks a lot like the shields the Ironforge guards carry. It's a different shape, but it carries the Ironforge crest.

easy mission, well at least after you find the cave, the arrow thing is useless on the minimap, i completed it without dying as a lvl 16 dwarven hunter, and a lvl 16 pet.

One note that pertains to the valley you must pass through en route to the cave is to be REALLY careful of aggro from the various camps. Be ready to deal with 2-3 mobs (sometimes 4 if you are unlucky enough) - use cc if you have it!.
Unless I missed something, there is no way to avoid these valley mobs, even the areas betwen camps have mobs, and it is quite possible to draw aggro from 2 camps simultaneously. Err on the safe side. Commit to one camp, and methodically pull the mobs (generally 2-3 will respond when you make a pull).

Also, once you start heading up th path from the valley to the cave, watch out for roaming mobs. As a level 15 Frost mage (very difficult to deal with multiple mobs) I died once from overlooking this detail..... I was just managing to deal with 3 mobs - keeping one polymorphed while casting on the other two - when the roamer started hitting me from behind(wicked stun and silence move proved to be very frustrating). Alas, I learned that one the hard way.

The cave itself is very easy until you get to the 3 targets (the guards are level 16 and the main man is 17). You cannot pull any of these guys individually, so cc one and hope you can get the other two down low enough (or dead) by the time the other one comes back. The two guards each have the very disruptive stun, which is devistating to casters, to say the least. Melee classes will likely have no problems with this quest, but casters beware!

Finished as lvl 16 Paladin, wasn't easy but I did it:

First I finished out the big guy and died, came back and finished the other 2. Had to pull out everything I had but I did it. :D

Did the quest with a friend (we're both Pally's), we just killed his adds one-by-one and took out Grawmug.

I've noticed that if you stay in the cave for a while, Grawmug and his two guards leave the place they spawn and run to where you are, along with a couple others, Then they proceed to kill you.

A warning to hunters... good luck finding these guys with humanoid tracking. The hills are right over Uldaman, so you'll pick up almost every mob down there. So many red dots makes it near impossible to track a certain mob.

As a lvl 16 frost mage this wasnt very hard.
I started at max range, kept shooting frost balls at his first guard, the guard died when they reached me.
Then I used Frost Nova on the two remaining mobs.
Polymorph on the second guard and proceeded to kill the "boss" and then the second guard.

solod as a lvl 18 rogue, just sneaked past all the mobs, they arrnt hard, killes all 3 @ same time no problem

just make sure they dont go running off and bring with em the surounding mobs, since tht can be quite alot of em, so make sure you own those first

For a feral druid getting lost in the cave, it is possible to Feral Charge - Cat up onto the platform where they stand from down below.

Still available but dramatically different. Cave is now the one you find on entering the area, cave previously shown is no longer there. Only the boss now and no guards.

A Decisive Strike

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Kill the trogg leader, Grawmug, and his two guards, Gnasher and Brawler, and then report back to Captain Rugelfuss in Thelsamar.

Description

My ploy worked. It appears that these beasts in Loch Modan are following the lead of a chieftain named Grawmug. Grawmug is heavily guarded, however. Two of his most elite guards, Gnasher and Brawler, never leave his side.

If you feel yourself worthy, <name>, I want you to lead the assassination mission on Grawmug and his two thugs inside this cave. Go! I'll free myself from these bindings and meet you shortly.
