Unfearable, unsnarable. Can be taunted though, but spawns adds (little giants that CAN be feared) throughout the fight, I guess there were around 3-4 of them when the big one died.

Interesting little fact I found out about these guys, if you stun them (kidney shot for rogues) at around 78% they won't break into their little parts. You can repeat this for 25% and 50%. Makes the fight easier.

Soloable as a lvl 70 hunter, they grow weaker during they fight and got much more slower. You can kite him to road but have to dodge a camp of bird ppl which is annoying. Don't be worry about the little rock dudes since they aren't much of a threat

just soloed this on my 70 pally, has full epics and 322 spell damage as a tank,

it took roughly 12 minutes, and 4 mana potions.. the adds didnt make it easier :S

the good news is, every time he releases an add, he gets weaker. by about 100-200 damage

Easily soloable as a modestly geared (50% tier 4) prot warrior. Didn't even have to bother with the stuns to avoid the splintering

Ok, this kind of surprised me (I'm assuming this is possible due to the recent changes to the pally ret tree) but I was able to solo them with a 70 ret pally in blues with a couple of purples tossed in. Just used seal of Light and spammed Crusader strike, divine storm,JoC and HoW (when it was available). My mana didnt run out and he hits slow enough to make it possible to cast my heals w/o much trouble. I was able to put in 1 hammer of justice right around 75% to prevent 1 add from coming. I didn't even have to bubble!

Solo'd as a feral in pre-raid gear. opened up in cat form with berzerk and finished him off in bear after that wore off. I had to toss in a frenzied regen but the fight was overall was pretty easy.

Soloable as a a lvl 70 BM hunter.
Just had to make sure that mend pet was active for the entire battle.
Take out the adds the moment they are spawned, they hit pretty hard when they go frenzy.
For the quest, YOU have to get the killing blow on them, if your pet does, it does not count towards the quest.

Soloed as a level 70 Frost Mage in decent BC instance gear. Mirror Image made the fight quick and simple, but I didn't want to wait for the cooldown every time. For the rest of them I started with Ice Barrier up and kept it up as much as possible. The elites can't be slowed or rooted so I burnt them down as fast of possible whilst hoping for a proc of Fingers of Frost for Deep Freeze. The splinters can be rooted, so I kept that up as much as possible. Other than that, it was just food buffs and hope.

Soloed as a ranged hunter with the turtle pet as Pandaren. If you look on the ridge of the mountain, you'll see a path that leads to a lava pool which leads to a summoning point for another quest. Keep your distance while your pet draws fire, once the pet dies, quickly revive while the colossus runs at you. Once its revived back up into the pathway to keep your distance again. I had to revive the turtle twice during my fight at lvl 69. (Vs lvl 70 colossus) Don't bother using stinging shot or stun its a waste of focus cause Colossus is immune, save the focus for revives and aimed shot, steady shot and arcane shot. (Keep your focus bar above 35 so you can revive as soon as you need to.)

If you can summon a dire beast, do so, the minion does not use focus and its free damage.

Make sure your pet has a taunt ability active and is capable of tanking.

Always pick off the extras cause once theres about 3 your pet won't stand a chance and can't tank for long.

I found the lvl 69 ones to be far easier than the lvl 70 one.

I have the tabard equipped and yet when I kill the colossus it doesn't count
