Gosh I really wish this was coming out sooner!
Can't wait for more info. Just hope it's not horde or Thraal dominated.
I'd love to see this one!
Hopefully they'll use the same musics as in the game. For example Stormwind music in Stormwind or the cursed Dalaran music. Always gives me the chills and memories. Also the artwork for the movie was pretty damn interesting. Can't wait to see the movie Dalaran!
Can't wait for this. I only wish we could have had a teaser.
Im pretty stoked about the movie, Blizz isnt using scrubs to make it.
After seeing this panel, I must admit that I am really hopeful for a high quality film here! I don't know if I can wait that long!
Having actually been to the panel at BlizzCon, it was kind of a let down that there wasn't anything more than some concept art work for the movie. A lot of us were hoping for at least the ComiCon treaser, but at least we got some quality information. :)
We all know when it comes to cinematics, Blizzard delivers. That Heroes of the Storm trailer sure was something. Now imagine that same company backing up a production of this magnitude! I'm sure it'll be something epic. Also, a big cheer for actually bringing both Horde and Alliance to light instead of just focusing on one of them!
Loved the question about how seriously they are taking the movie. I'm sure they are going to put their all into it. Blizzard does not doing anything half-assed. And kudos to the linguistics guy, very funny and very ballsy =)
wow rocks
I am looking forward on how will the orcish language go as far as speech and specially in writing. Lok'tar ogar!
SO cant wait for this. I have seen it coming for a LONG time and I hope it is as good as the trailers for MoP were. =)
I wanted to ask if they'd finished the script yet, and who was writing it, but the line for QA was really, really long. I'm glad to see the film is in the hands of people who play and love the game, and understand how big of a deal it is to get things right.
I wanna see a trailer! XD
Looking forward to this! Interested to see how/what lore is going to be woven into the story. I'm sure the cg will be top notch!
That'd be pretty awesome, I think, if Chuck Norris is actually in the movie! :P Looking forward, very eagerly, to this movie - one of my, personally-most-anticipated movies. Yes, it has to be as good as, or better than, Lord of the Rings - I loved LotR...and I also love Warcraft. 'The Dark Knight' was PG-13, so, yeah, can definitely "get away with a lot" in PG-13; they also mentioned that they're going for a "gritty, 'Gladiator'-like" movie. I'm quite happy with what I've read and heard so far; sounds very promising.
I think I speak for many people who are cautious about a televised program. First, in a world so vast, how do you appeal to such a huge audience (Horde vs. Alliance; Lich King era vs. Burning Crusade; so forth). Second, with a smaller budget, the chance for the TV rendering to look more like exceptional cosplay and less like a real world, becomes far more likely. And you have to take into account the spectrum of intellect in your audience: you're going to have Microsoft engineers watching this, as well as people still working their way through high school algebra. As such, would it be written like Buffy... darkly smart and pop-culture infused, and yet playful? Or does it go in some other creative direction? It would certainly be a challenge to keep going: the wealth of characters and lore in this game can almost be a burden. But if anyone can pull it off, the wizards at Blizzard can.
