This is fantastic! Ditto the suggestion for tracking specifically for Class Mounts, though.
Id really like to see a section for breaching the tomb for the class mount.
This is handy, but when I saw the article I was briefly hoping for something that would give me a bit more detail on what I still needed to do for my class and profession quests, particularly the dungeons I'll have to run. I have a character of every class, and I've tried to mark down the dungeons they'll need for quests so I can overlap them as much as possible, but I haven't been perfect about tracking what I've done, I don't know the order I need to do the dungeons in, and with so many characters, I can't always remember what each one has completed so far. @the person who keeps getting stuck on the Marks of Sentinax quest, have you tried the custom premade groups? If I look during busy hours I can usually still find a few Sentinax groups going.
One thing I want to mention is that this was primarily intended as an attunement tracker, not a progress tracker. Generally speaking we wanted to put things in there that let you know what you have to do to unlock content, rather than to complete it. That said, there's no reason it can't be a bit of a hybrid, at least in some cases. We don't want to cram everything and its mother in there, because then it starts to get bloated, and that can affect usability.Breaching the Tomb (being a prereq for class mounts) seems like a pretty popular option, and should be relatively easy to implement. Artifact appearances are probably a bit too niche, and also have the downside that they all have completely different requirements, so it takes a lot more work to implement. Plus there's a ton of them, so it's a whole giant section by itself. Moreover, they fall on the "progress" and not the "attunement" side of the equation.
Thanks for the clarification on what you intended, but I'll continue to stand behind the opinion that at least the launch features are mostly useful for beginner/returning players - while they deserve a spot whether it's attunement or progress, on their own they feel a little lackluster. I feel (obvious disclaimer: as a person that would benefit from this) that leaning towards a progress checklist would attract more players for a longer period of time. Ok, design suggestions for the existing stuff:
It's probably too much trouble, but I'd love a way to customise a character tracker like this. I want to know which alts have their full Class Armour set, for example, or who have individually completed the story quests in each zone.
There are some very handy, detailed, easy to navigate and useful guides for Artifact appearances. And then every individual appearance item page itself (eg. Runes of the Darkening ) has plenty of detailed comments.Since most of those appearances involve doing different things (eg. Heart of Corruption requires you to fish at one stage) while you can just buy one of the hunter's hidden appearance off an npc for some gold, pretty sure a simple "tracking" tool won't look as simple, if it can be implemented at all.
Thank you! I have needed this so badly for alts 😊
This s an incredible help. I would love to see professions in there, too. It's so hard to level them with all the questing and dungeons that are required by a couple of them.
What about Flying?
It would be awesome to get a Favorite Star or Button on the tool/ feature page for this, instead of it getting lost in the midst of a gazillion bookmarks.Oh & thanks :)
It would be nice if it included a progress tracker through the orderhall campaign instead of is it completed?.
