I can't believe out of that whole list of things to like/or be ambivalent about, that this was the item that grabbed me and made me happy! Perhaps I wouldn't have deleted a bunch of 80 alts I have no intention of playing soon, but had maxed profs...
The nice thing about DBM....you can turn it off....Look, if you feel the need to flex your e-peen just that little extra bit..don't run it. If your guild requires it..find another guild or make your own and DON'T ALLOW it. Heck, make some video's of your awesomeness in action and post em for all the world to see. But for the other 99.8% of us out here, DBM makes the game much more enjoyable for us because we can actually keep track of things without having to assign people to run stopwatches for us....and we get to enjoy encounters that are more than just tank'n'spank DPS checks. I personally dont want to see end game raids being limited to Patchwerk type encounters. And without automated timers (really, thats all DBM is), thats all you would see. And on a side note, the fact that you, or a friend, have completed something like Heroic LK without DBM means little to nothing if ANYONE in the raid was running it at the time. If you have someone running it, they are just calling out events for you, rather than you seeing them on your screen. If you wanna impress us, lets see some videos of you taking down some progression bosses with no one in the raid running DBM, and no communication program either.
Meuh, by now I've grown so used to the order of my toons that I can select them with my eyes closed. Being able to rearrange them would've been nice, say 2-3 years ago. Now I don't really prefer having to get used to a new order of my toons anymore. ;)As for AH mail, just get an addon like EasyMail. You can checkbox which mail you want to get gold/attachments from with an additional 'check all' button.I'm very enthusiastic about the plans to change tabards to no longer use item slots.. my main has a lot of rare tabards that aren't easily buyable from a tabard vendor, and it's taking up far too much space.(reCaptcha: suche Iroman... if I were that German guy, I'd rather search for the missing 'n'..... :p )
So much hate...
Hm. Page 3 of the thread broke.

Letting you re-sort character list at login would be a GREAT idea, especially with my play style. I like to have alts listed in the order I created them, as I tend to think of them as a family grouping (maybe a big adoptive family grouping), and usually play them so that their levels stay in the same order I created them. Would also help having character you are focusing on leveling at top of stack, or any other sort mechanism that is meaningful to a player.
I don't understand the complaint about DBM "predicting" boss abilities. If an ability is on a set timer it is only because the encounter designer specified it that way. He or she did so with the full understanding that players will become aware of this schedule. For the small handful of players that really prefer figuring everything out themselves, nothing is preventing them from not browsing websites, not installing DBM, and doing the 10x extra work to discover every mechanic on their own.For the vast majority that just prefer to play the encounter, someone is going to have to provide the required information and frankly the DBM timer bar in game seems a lot more reasonable and less immersion breaking than tab-outs to external websites, listening to countdowns on vent, using your own stopwatch, etc.
