What about actually attempting to balance pets? There are only 3 ways a pet can be useful - exploiting stats(full power, no speed), unique set of combo skills(monk, ragnaros), something in between(correlation between average stats and abilities(triple attacks)). Not to mention the abundance of exploitable mechanicals with repair, undead with suicide\recharge attacks upon revival, beast and dragonkin with broken racials(getting beast to 50%, then oneshotting; bugged procs of dragonkin racial without target being at 25%).Compared to that, what can your average kitten do? What can magic\elemental do? You can not be hit for more than 50% of your total health? Yeah, that's reassuring. That's reassuring to know that OTHERWISE you can be nearly oneshotted. Elementals ignore weather? That can even be against them.>Balance racials. Limit procs of dragonkin. Greatly limit the abilities undead can use upon revival(that is just a free move - not a nuke). Reset ongoing effects of rebuilding mechanicals(don't we have enough of Lay on Hands?). Limit critter CC immunity(similar to dragonkin). Limit duration of beast damage below 50%(like 2 rounds). Make elemental benefit more from positive weather effects and have reduced effect from negative. Reduce max damage taken by magic to at least 40%(50% makes a hell lot of difference - 2 shotted). No, that will not take away tactics. They will simply be adjusted, not abused or exploited.>Balance stats\skills. How many of you were one-button trained by Lil'Deathwing? Original Onyxia's Whelpling? Oneshotted by Ragnaros' double attack? Or even monk? Sure, those who pay bucks must have advantage, but this advantage should involve skill too.>Buff currently useless pets(no combos, no stat-related skills). Make more pets, like Eflin Rabbit - master dodger.I may be by far a very limited person in terms of pets(no bucks, no anniversaries), skill(not ranked or PRed) or logic(take things too close). I've gone from what I thought was nice to what I can only call "best I can get". When I thought Nuts, Quilen and World Destroyer were nice, I realized - they do not possess combos. I rolled Winter Helper, Celestial Dragon, Shimmering Wyrmling. I realized they do not benefit from stats\have dependant combos(xept Celestial). The best I could squeeze now is a balanced team of Serpent Hatchlings, with tactical slow nuker, tactical fast avoidance and tanking Celestial. Still, this team can be 3vs1ed by pets like monk(25% more damage should be a benefit, yes, but not a oneshotter).I am glad there exist certain annoying or practical pets like Elfin Rabbit, and I plan to get more of these, but for the sake of universal benefit and entertainment - balance pets. There should not be dead end of uselessness and top peak of awesomeness, with former unable to do a slap and latter playing onebutton.
All of these changes are most welcomed, can't wait. :)
Its JP not VP for pet stones. Anyone can get jp easily so quit #$%^&ing "pet battle easier for raider"
but you do know that it doesnt have to be 50 unique rares though so thats some help
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Be careful ---- im already maxed out on the number of battle pets u can have so whats the point and also the max lvl ur pet can be is 25 No good in my opinion
To the people complaining about rares getting easier to acquire. This avoids people camping the minfernal for rares when others don't have one at all, blocking them from the achieve. I've pretty much resigned myself to the idea that I'll get my guardling before a minfernal. The stones are great, they're going to allow new and fun combinations of pets to be viable. My first level 25 pet was a green. I would like to honor his hard work and many many deaths by making him rare. I could go farm a rare level 15 Ash Spiderling, but it wouldn't be the same. I would also like my Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot to not be a waste of a slot on a PVP team. Someone was complaining about the pets being totally unbalanced. This is completely true. I don't think it will get fixed soon.
That moment when you read this article, because you didn't quite know how battle stones worked, then go do a pet battle and get your first battle stone.Yeah... that just happened. :x
Same difference there is between Greens, Blues and Purples for equipment.
