Is it possible to make a macro to target the closest enemy and cast Shadow word: death. Can't seem to target the darn mages fast enough to counter poly.
Thx :D

I personally use:
#showtooltip
/cast Shadow Word: Death; Prayer of Mending; Shadow Word: Death; Prayer of Mending.
Of course, this is a mouseover/target macro, so if you don't like those, you might not want to use it. I find it to work just fine for the scenarios you are describing however.

Macros can't target closest enemy. Best you can do is tab to an enemy and press you SW:D button or use the macro that razzem provided.

Ok one more question, is there a macro command the targets the target's target?

I think it's but could be wrong.
Also, I might have posted the wrong tag for the . It could be for those last two tags instead, but I haven't looked at my macro scripts for a while. :D

Using will allow you to cast on your target's target without actually targeting it. To do that you can either /assist, as Primar said, or /tar targettarget.
is the same as , is the same as . The macro you posted is correct though.
