Something I've noticed about Omen3 is that frequently my TPS will show up as "?"
That is because Omen TPS is set to show TPS as an average over the last 10 seconds. So, for the first 10 seconds of the fight, it will display as "?"
You can change this on the options page of omen, so it gives an average of less (or even more) seconds.
wrong. Ive had the "?" for the entire duration of a raid boss fight. Not really that important though. I like the new threat meter actually. I find I use IT more than omen.
I know that when my name plate is glowing yellow im close to the threshold and need to drop threat. When its red, I have threat and need to act accordingly. Not to mention the floating combat text that tells you when youre, gaining, losing, or taking threat. or tells you when you LOSE threat and who you lost it to by making their name plate glow. Tanks can watch for glowing yellow to see whos close, and red to see who to intervene on, etc.
I may stop using omen here real soon. just another addon to take up bandwidth

I very much prefer the bars of Omen3 for boss tanking, but when I'm handling a big bunch of mobs (and since I'm a paladin I'm shoved into that role frequently...) it's very comfortable to have the overhead popups whenever someone is close - the next Hammer goes that way and hopefully saves the guy at the receiving end.

You can enable percent threat to appear on the actual unit frame of the unit, somewhere from Interface. That way you can keep an eye on your threat on the current target by simply...targeting it.
