Just wondering, how many people are there who still play with just the original game installed? I don't mean those who are levelling and will pick it up later, but people who just won't buy it?

That's a good question; one would have to wonder if there are that many people who are unwilling to pay $20 once for the massive amount of additional content you get, for the same monthly fee. In effect, you'd be gypping yourself.

I don't have the expansion yet, but that's because I'm waiting til I have all 9 of my character to 60.
I know there were a bunch of people a few months ago talking about staying at 60 to do Nax et al as it was meant to be done. I would do some research, it would probably be easy to get into a 'raiding' guild :)
Honestly though. BC is only $20 now, why not get it? Blizzard learned a lot from their endgame mistakes at 60 and improved it at 70, why play endgame.

There are still guilds who stay at 60, and raid old instances, but they are not many :)

Another question you might ask yourself is will Blizz require BC before you can install WotLK? I haven't checked on this and since I've had BC for quite some time, never even considered it.

You can proly get it, but all you would gain is Inscription proff. You would still have to get BC to get to 70 to be able to go to Northrend.

Do these guilds have names like <Flat Earth Society>?

Once you hit 60 w/o the expansion the XP bar goes away. Just like currently at 70

no these guilds are people who think tbc raiding is a joke and want the epic feel of the "old world" raids. Do a google search for lvl 60 guilds, they're out there. People who have started new accounts w/o installing tbc on them and level them like alts to run scheduled old world raids. Just kind of something on the side to do when the monotony of doing dailies between raid times gets old.
