Hi folks,
Ok so I bought a razer naga to try to improve my PvP play. I've been a keyboard turner for a while now and I got to learn how to move with a mouse so I don't get outmaneuvered by people who do move with their mouse.
I'm having difficulty figuring out how to move with my mouse and use my spells/abilities (SA) at the same time. I need detailed instructions how you are supposed to bind keys and use your mouse to move and use its bound buttons while you strafe and slide your mouse simultaneously.
I have strafe bound to A and D. W is forward. I see people talking about binding their primary SA to the keys around the A D and W buttons and their secondary SA to the mouse buttons and vice versa.
My problem is I find it very awkward to use the buttons around A D and W while I hold A and D down with my Ring and Index fingers (respectively).
Is there a configuration I'm missing?
How do I hold down the A and D buttons to strafe while I use the keys around them for my primary/secondary SA, unless I use my right hand lol which I can't since it's on the mouse. It seems so awkward.
Should I bind the strafe buttons to the mouse instead of keyboard?
Thanks so much

It's just a learning curve either way I'm afraid. There're no detailed instructions and no big secret. Just practice. I've never heard of anyone binding strafe to mouse buttons but once you've gotten used to it I suppose there's no reason it shouldn't be effective.
What I use - and what I'd thoroughly recommend to anyone - is a logitech G13 gamepad. The great thing about this little beauty is that it has a joystick that sits right under your thumb and is perfect for moving, jumping and strafing. Mine's also set so that autorun kicks in when I pull it back towards me.
After a bit of practice this way of moving feels very natural and frees up the rest of your hand for button bashing. It's not cheap and *of course* you can be a killer player without one, but if you're struggling with the existing layout it might be worth a look.

You either press them with your thumb (naga) or locate all your keybinds in the vicinity of AWD so you can press one of these and you keybinds at the same time. Some people even move the AWD one step right, resulting in SEF and gaining one row of bindable keys on the left, but i prefer it at AWD. There are people who dont use strafe buttons at all and use LMouse+RMouse to run forward, while executing all the keybinds freely from the keyboard (mouse is only for movement and turning, keyboard is for skills - typical example of such setup is Reckful). Of course it depends on class, with some classes strafing is a must (hunter).
Default is AWD to move and binds on 1-5, qertsfgzxv, f1-f4, ~(tylde), mouse scroll (up, down, press) and one chosen modifier (i am using shift with my pinkym but control with pinky or alt with thumb are all possible).
My problem is I find it very awkward to use the buttons around A D and W while I hold A and D down with my Ring and Index fingers (respectively).
You dont hold these binds at the same time. You press just one, while using other fingers to move around the binds, but still with naga you just have to practivce with your right hand thumb (i assume you are right handed).
Should I bind the strafe buttons to the mouse instead of keyboard?
Strafe buttons are really overrated, by people playing rogues or/and having ADHD (spamming both for no apparent reason, just to have your character twitch from side to side).
As above person said, it takes a lot of time to get used to new setup.
