Hello all! First off, to get the particulars out of the way:
Character Info: 90 Night Elf Hunter, currently Marksmanship (but open to switching, of course)
Armory Profile:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/skywall/Silmarandil/simple
Faction: Alliance
Realm (US): Skywall, but willing to relocate for the right fit
Realm Type: PvE
Professions: Leatherworking (600)
So I took a long hiatus from WoW, and when I left my guild was lively, active and I was excited to come back and hit 90 with MoP and start raiding for realz.
...then, a month ago when I returned? Bupkus. Out of 821 members or so, only about five of us are active anymore.
Therefore, I need a new home! As you can see from my Armory profile, I'm no slumlord, and I am on Wowhead like other people use Facebook, so I know there's so much more I can achieve. I work odd hours in CST (evenings mostly, plus Friday-Saturday), so I mostly raid during daylight hours using LFR (which isn't great, but it's better than nothing, right?)
I'm a working adult who also goes to school, so I play as much as I can. I'm looking for a casual-friendly, flexibly scheduled raiding guild without all the pretention of the "hardcore" WoW player. I like to shoot things with my bow, and I don't want a lot of people complaining that I'm not shooting efficiently enough. I left a great community in CoH, and I'm looking for amicable, hysterical banter above most other things.
I'm willing to relocate servers if I must (Skywall seems like a ghost town most days, even as a "medium pop" server) but I'd like to not burn that cash if I don't absolutely have to.
Here's to hoping I find that special group who wants a witty Huntard who knows his place, and only occasionally forgets to take Growl off Auto!

Thanks!
I will say, one of the biggest things that kept me away from WoW was the "everyone is a..." well, let's just say I had a great community on Pinnacle server in City of Heroes, and we would have long-winded ridiculous discussions both in-game and on the forums, all the while flinging arrows and fire blasts and punching things in the face, so that's really what I'm looking for.
I just feel so LONELY on Skywall, ya know? I wander through Stormwind and there's like three people, and I haven't seen anything in guild chat in a month.
/Dashboard plays in the background.

Naw, I get it entirely. You actually sound like me, cept more of a hunter and less of a tank of all trades. It was because of wanting a community that I started the guild <Rebound>, where I eventually met my fiancee. We just came back from a hiatus ( moving states and all that fun stuff) and thus we are <Rebounded>
If ya read my opening post, ya can see. (

Awwww...you're Horde though! /sadface
Blood elf skin tones don't look good on Sil. :p

Yarrr. I spent about 6 years as Alliance but I'm happy to be Horde now. :)

Asides, skin tones only matter when you're nekkid. Armor fixes all.

True, true...but the ol' girlfriend might not be happy with the $75 server-faction change pricetag!
If momma ain't happy, ya know...

-nose wrinkle- I faction/server xfered 5 of mine. I hate re-leveling that much. :(
Best of luck in your hunt :)!

See, that's my problem!
I was talking with a friend of mine, who's Horde on Sen'jin; I don't want to level/spend gold from scratch, but I also don't want to spend the real dough either.
Damn rock and hard place! Your guild sounds awesome. :(

The way I saw it- was the characters had years (literally) invested in them - not to mention the pets, achievements, etc. This is my hobby. So putting the money into them was just continuing my hobby. I just scrimped on some other stuff to justify the cash, small things ( did Redbox instead of movie theaters, cut back on eating out for a bit, etc)
