Wowhead Client + Blizzard Desktop App

Greetings!
I've stumbled across a "issue" when using the Wowhead Client and the (amazing) new Blizzard Desktop app.
For those of you who don't know it: The new blizzard desktop app let's you log in once a month, and allows you to play each blizzard game without having to log in each time.
Now.... I used to submit loads of data trough the Wowhead Client, but right now the desktop app is so useful and time/stress saving that I never use the Wowhead Client to start up WoW (because then it requires me to login).
Anybody having the same issue, and if so have you found a way to use both programs at the same time?

It's not required to start WoW via the Wowhead Client for the latter to gather and submit data (as long as the Wowhead Client is running, of course)
It tracks when the WoW.exe is closed, no matter who called it.
You should still see the automatic upload dialog. If that doesn't show up, there's also a 'manual' upload button (you click, it uploads)

I didn't know the Wowhead client worked that way. Always tought you had to actually start WoW trough the client for it to gather and submit data.
Thank you for the enlightment!

I don't think I have ever automatically uploaded data with the WowHead Client, except a few times when I forgot it was running.
What I'd like to know, since I don't have the new Blizzard Desktop Launcher is if programs like the WowHead Client, Curse Client, and AskMrRobot Client, and Zygor Guides Updater need altering to point to the new launcher in their respective settings, or will it be seamless?
Right now all those programs look for the World of Warcraft main folder and detect the WoW.exe or WoW-64.exe programs. Will Blizzard's new launcher require a different search path?
I figured this thread works, because obviously a few people have downloaded and tried out the new app.

I was just testing this out after reading your thoughts, as I do use the new launcher I was curious about this myself.
It seems that with the new Battle.net App, if I open any individual Blizzard launcher (i.e. the traditional World of Warcraft Launcher) it will open the Battle.net app and go to the page for that game so you can just click "play" and get started. In this case, WoW would launch and auto log me in.
If I go into my WoW directory and open WoW.exe, it runs as previously expected. WoW opens as normal, circumventing the Battle.net App, with a normal log-in still required.
I also have the Curse client installed right now, and when attempting to launch WoW from it, it brings up the Battle.net App just like I'm using the WoW Launcher.

The old WoW launcher will probably be removed once the new battle.net launcher is out of beta and mass-released.

Most likely, yes.

Did you keep your computer running the last days? The Wowhead Client only auto-updates when it's started. Without an update, the Wowhead addon might have not been active, as you still had the 5.3 version.

Multiple WoW accounts
on the same Battle.net account
do show up, I see the PTR, that Starter Edition I once abused for getting into raids solo...

Maybe he doesn't have all his accounts linked to the same Battle.net account? Just speculating.

Yes, that's why I underlined that part :) I figured they have multiple Battle.net accounts - but I don't understand why people would do that, it was always possible to create additional WoW accounts in your primary Battle.net account, even for RaF.
What I'm saying is, having multiple Battle.net accounts is a choice, but not something that Blizzard would actively support in the App. They can always turn down such requests on the basis that it assists account sharing.
There are ways to transfer WoW accounts between Battle.net accounts where
owners share the same last name
, though I'm not sure it's free of charge.

Well, its stretching the point of this topic... but Ill chime in.
First, no its not free to transfer between battle.net accounts even when you share the name... like when you make an account for your minor child and want to transfer over a char (that she played on your acct) with heirlooms to the new acct.
The reason we didn't put them on the same battle.net acct was we figured eventually, our kids will move out and take responsibility for their acct them selves. Then when heirlooms and transferring them began to look attractive, I talked to bliz about merging them to the same bnet acct and was told that with the shared battle pets system (this was over a year ago. during MOP beta or at least after MOP had been announced.) would mean that both accounts couldn't play with battle pets at the same time. That was a definite no to multi accts on the same battle.net account.
Now, back on topic. (and why I looked at this thread in the first place) The wowhead uploader doesn't upload until I exit wow. With the new bliz launcher I don't actually exit. So...am I still uploading?
