Queue times differ depending on the time of day.
You never 'had' to do dailies; you did them because you made that choice. There are alternate ways to get rep now, and a lot of the factions have been streamlined.
Beyond that: Maybe you shouldn't come back.

It varies with weekday, time of day and battlegroup, but as Damage, times should be around 7-10 minutes. Note that scenarios, which have virtually no wait time, are great to bridge that wait time if you would otherwise just stand around, and they grant
Valor Points
as well.
Tanks have instant Dungeon queues, while Healers have near-instant LFR queues (as there are 5 other healers to find, the first to queue might wait almost as long as a Damagedealer)
For dailies added after the launch of MoP, I suggest to look up guides for the patches 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3, but in short, yes there have been new dailies and a bunch of new scenarios.

No.
Dailies were necessary because of coins.
the coins itself were a bonus and therefore skipable.
so doing dailies for rep or coins was you're own decision.
The bonus existed and therefore the coins were necessary. It's as much my decision as paying child support is or getting a job to sustain myself.
Your comparisons are actually kind of scary (despite the fact that they don't work on any level). Do you really feel this way? If so, maybe it's time to take a break from Warcraft.
