You already have Wrath on your account; you need to buy Cataclysm to access level 80-85, and Mists of Pandaria to access 85-90 content.
Also, forget about the starter account and just activate the normal one.

You can't link images directly from your computer like that, dude. You'll have to post it on an image sharing site and then link the address to it. Though you don't need to provide proof that you have a worgen. We believe ya. :P
Anyway to answer your questions: When your card runs out, your account and characters will still exist but you will not be able to play the game unless you buy more time for the account.
And 'Wrath of the Lich King' is mandatory if you wish to play the 'Cataclysm' and 'Mists of Pandaria' expansions. Also the WotLK expansion contains Northrend so it does contain a huge chunk of content.

Once you activate your subscription you will still have any characters that you played with on the starter editon, so you don't have to worry about losing any progress that you have made. When you log in you will have 2 choices for the game accounts, WoW1and WoW2. Your starter account will become WoW1 and the account with the game time will become WoW2. If you wish to delete the WoW1 account you can submit a ticket to have it removed, but it is not necessary to do so.

So once i installed them both i had to make an account it said free, so i made a free account and activated the WOW starter.
WoW is a bit different from normal games: You don't purchase the actual game, you purchase a licence to play the game. What you installed was just the game program, they include CDs/DVDs for that to help with downloads (when WoW first came out, broadband wasn't that widespread yet) but you could have just downloaded the whole game from Blizzard's website as well.
But along with the discs, the game box (assuming you bought physical copies) had a licence key - this is what is needed to unlock the full game, beyond the free Starter Edition (which only goes to level 20)
Click where it asks you to upgrade and enter that key.
Bonus question - Since world of warcraft lets you play CATA characters does this mean if i buy wrath of the litch king its basically like wasting money?
Since Mists of Pandaria, you can create characters of any race, no matter your account status, even those introduced in Cataclysm (Worgen and Goblins) and Mists of Pandaria (Pandaren)
However, you still need Cataclysm to progress beyond level 80 and access the questing zones for that expansion, and Mists of Pandaria to progress beyond level 85 (up to 90) as well as to create a character of the
Monk
class.
