I still have very fond memories of the original Scarlette Monastery and that wing of Dire Maul where you had to put on the ogre suit and are eventually crowned the Ogre King.
I had so much fun running those instances.

Dont mock me now (ok do, i can take it) but i really loved Karazhan. Ok i have been there too many times both in TBC and after so its kinda spoiled now, but when it was new and fresh for me it was absolutely awesome.
My favourite 5mans is (oh im not just gonna be mocked now, im gonna get flailed) the redone ZA and ZG in Cataclysm. Overall that expansion was not that great compared to the others, but those two instances where.
As Honorable mention Halls of Reflection, magisters terrace and shattered halls but only as warrior tank.

Magisters Terrace, Sunwell & Icecrown.
But my favorite would have to be the Well of Eternity, where you battle alongside Illidan, Tyrande and Furion.

Ah vanilla. Missed that part. In that case i pick LBRS. A great place to gear back then. And it was "cheezeable" you could go more than 5.

BRD - The WHOLE place in one run back in WotLK. Took us over 3 hours with a lot of wiping and finding new players... I still don't know the way around BRD.

Stratholme was probably my favorite. Even though it was a massive grindfest, it had a really cool atmosphere and some interesting bosses. Since I'm a fan of the Crusade and the Scourge, I enjoyed it immensely.
I didn't really like any Vanilla raids, though. It wasn't until Wrath came around that I liked any raids. I guess you could say Naxx was my favorite since I enjoyed the reboot, but from what I understand it's fairly different (and a lot easier) than the original.

I really like SFK in vanilla, not only a cool little castle, but it were also excellent training for other instances with mobs that did silence, mobs that did stuns, a boss that used mind control, a healing boss, mobs that feared and so on - basically all the mechanics you needed to master for later instances.
I will add this to my list. Shadow Fang Keep was excellent.

The only instance that was a pain would be Gnomer.
This wasn't during vanilla, but my most vidid memory of any video game was causing a Tsunami of adds in that place. I was on my lock and the group jumped down the platform after killing that first boss up top.
I did not dismiss my pet before doing so. I noticed when I got the bottom that I was in combat and my pet was not with me... and I knew something was wrong. We started fighting and I looked over at this hallway entrance and I swear to god it must have been two legions of mobs spewing out that doorway....
The grouped survived just long enough for everyone to understand what was happenning....

I have memories of running RFD as my first dungeon back in early BC. First time tanking. It was a complete $%^& show, but everyone else in my group was new too, so we struggled through it together.
Soooo RFD has a soft spot in my heart <3
