RNG I give up

I've been playing since Vanilla but I've hit my point.
If I try for an item it's either NEVER popping up or IF it does some ^&*!@#$ wins it with an 97 for OS or vendoring. I've put up with this with the past two weeks consecutively and I'm done. First person to whisper Evé on Illidan gets 200k. Screw this game I'm done.

I wonder how many people just made new characters on Illidan? Interesting way if you ever wanted to boost server population, although it would only be temporarily.
Good luck in all your future endeavours.

If you really want to give up the gold, post this on the official forum.

Already gave it up to some random fellow Yiplap or something. It didn't sweeten the deal when I had some healer need some plate gloves, while I waited for a lucky contestant. Seriously why the hell is needing on gear you can't use ok in lower levels but not higher levels? And why do these ninjas have some crazy RNG bonus allowing them to roll 80-100's while I can't break 20-30's? I know it's random, but in this case it simply shouldn't be left to chance, it should go to the person who can benefit from it.

Unfortunately you can't control other players. If you want to protect your loot, form your own groups.

Good to see people quit games the old fashioned way. I remember when I decided to stop playing Super Mario Bros the first time. I pushed the power button on my NES. Sat down on my couch and invented the internet just so I could then further invent a website, create the worlds first internet forum and complain about it. Quit being a pansy, if you are going to quit playing a game then just uninstall it, throw any and all copies of the game you may have in the trash and quit your whining. If you were really done with the game, why the hell are you bothering to go to a fan website to complain. Be done with it.

RNG works like this:
A. You down a boss in a dungeon or raid on your main, every other gear drops.
B. You down a boss in a dungeon or raid on your alt, your main's gear drops.
C. If it's a all leather and mail group, intellect plate will surely drop.
D. If it's a all plate group, Shaman mail and Rogue leather will surely drop.
E. If there's a tank/healer/DPS of the same class...don't need to spell out that horror in the making.
Just another "quality of life" issue that needs a fix.

It's been eight years. Is this really something new to you, something that's only now becoming a game-breaking issue? Because let me tell you that this exact sort of thing has been happening since I started playing in '05 and hasn't gotten any worse over the years in lower levels, and it's actually gotten better in the higher levels.

"its allowed on lower levels cause certain armor types with stats are pretty much non excistant."
Still needing on gear you can't use should be an exception. When a healer or clothie needs on my 2hander or plate, that's bs.
"Unfortunately you can't control other players. If you want to protect your loot, form your own groups."
Takes far too long, I barely have time for WoW as it is.
"Quit being a pansy, if you are going to quit playing a game then just uninstall it, throw any and all copies of the game you may have in the trash and quit your whining. If you were really done with the game, why the hell are you bothering to go to a fan website to complain. Be done with it."
I gave away all my gold, uninstalled and made one last thread explaining why so I could just link all my friends asking why I quit so abruptly (to be honest my month just expired yesterday anyway.) How is that NOT being done with it? Granted I'm replying to you, but beyond this thread I've severed all connections and given away all my gold, there's no insentive to come back to start back with nothing, at least not for me. I'm likely going to drop WoWHead as well, just haven't... for whatever reason
"Just another "quality of life" issue that needs a fix."
RNG wasn't what broke me. To play this game you have to accept bad RNG (believe me I've had worse) but just having this string of players needing and winning every single time some gear I was farming dropped without fail was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

Honestly, the mechanics are better but the community's worse, and if you see my last answer, that's what ruined it for me.

RNG can definitely be a pain. My warlock is at ilvl 500 and I'm still rocking a 463 trinket because I'm 0-45 (yes, I've been keeping count) on 476+ trinket rolls. At lower levels, gear is replaced so fast that it doesn't matter if you lose a roll to a piece... you'd outgrow it in an hour anyway.
Also, on a side note, you may want to change your wowhead quote, because clearly you're obsessed with getting low level gear, yet you aren't dedicated to WoW and its' RNG system considering you just gave up everything because you weren't getting your way. Just my 2 cents.

Terrorshark, I really feel sorry for you. I understand your anger and like you said: you can't be mad at some random stuff, but you CAN be mad at people's greed. And it's funny, because "greed" is something that they should click on...
World of Warcraft society is awful. Once we blamed 11-year-old kids, but now? Even adults behave like no one else is playing besides them. I think that people stopped treating this game serious. It's like bang-bang-let's-make-another-instance. And many players, who are more experienced than me say that WoW has lost it's value and that it's not like it was back then anymore. In my opinion you've made a good decision.

It's called: bread and circuses. Give a population everything, they get bored. And any new event or festival has to be bigger and better to pique their interest.
So WoW faces a double whammy of too much content, and it's gated.

Your nerd rage over loosing a roll is nothing like my nerd rage over people using terms like RNG.. just say loosing a roll pisses you off because you want the loot.

-The low level gear wasn't just leveling gear, it was gear I wanted for transmog:
Circle of Flame
which dropped on my lock but was ninja'd by a tank
Ironfoe
which dropped on my warrior but was ninja'd by a mage
and the one that broke me:
Teebu's Blazing Longsword
which dropped on my pally (not farming for it but having it master looted by a rogue after finally winning a roll and seeing it on AH an hour later for 125k)
ALL IN ONE WEEK. (And honestly, a fair share of items I could've benefited from were ninja'd too, but the three epics dropping and rolling 20-30's on them and having classes who can even equip the damn items rolling 80's.)
If only you could read prior comments in the thread you'd realize it wasn't the RNG that bother me, the first two items are low drop epics, and I could accept them never dropping. I can't accept getting robbed of those items when they actually drop.
I've been playing this game since Vanilla, if that isn't dedication I don't know what is. And I wasn't obsessed with gear or wow (as I've just dropped the game on a whim)

Losing*
If those items I lost went to characters who could not only USE the item but BENEFITED from them, I would not be remotely angry. I've lost Invincible with a 93 to someone who rolled a 94 and I didn't even cringe, I was happy as the guildy who won it was so overjoyed on vent. But these people who won those epics likely vendored those items and they'll never see any use. That is my pet peeve and it's become more and more common in any sort of party except for guild dedicated groups.

^You have pretty well summed up my thoughts entirely of why I dropped this game. My favorite part of this game was when the community helped each other out, like me happily passing on a minor upgrade on a weapon so the player with the quest green weapon could hugely benefit from a new weapon (and as a result the overall dps on the party would increase much further.) Thank you for the sympathy, I will miss this game all things considered, I created memories and friends that'll last and I thank Blizzard for making such a game but I'm ready to start a new chapter of my life. This'll be my last post on this thread, and likely even Wowhead.
All Vanilla transmog runs can be soloed. Even TBC ones can mostly be soloed. Eventually you can get the look you want..why fret over it.
Unless you were in a guild run, why would anybody be in a low level run with a masterlooter.
I do nooooo random runs where someone is a masterlooter. Your just asking to be screwed.
You've been playing since vanilla...the drop system pretty much has been the same, with all the good and bad that comes with it..why would you now find it more then you can deal with.
Sounds like sour grapes..but if it's not then this is an obvious case of burnout over imaginary items.Cool. Ninjaing is okay because others can solo it. Idiot...
