I actually experienced a very similar problem while playing SWTOR, and I fixed it by clearing my DNS Cache.
It's really easy to do. Just google "how to clear DNS cache on mac" and you'll find a page anywhere that shows you how to use the flushdns command properly for your version of OSX. It might not be the solution to your problem, but I don't see how it could hurt to try this out.

Hi! The trace route looks fine as far as I can tell. Now, as far as troubleshooting goes- the only way to see a better picture of what's going on would be to take wireless out of the equation. A lot of people play on wireless (including myself, from time to time) but due to how connectivity works over wireless connections it is almost impossible to get an accurate reading while you are running a trace route on such a connection.
If I were you, I would A) get set up with a direct connection to the modem to see if that helps, and/or B) move the computer to a new network to see if the issue persists. As far as troubleshooting anything for the mac, I would also recommend trying to run your standard system updates for the computer, and then open the launcher for the game, choose '
Help
' on the launcher, and then run the
repair utility
.
Please let us know if that helped!
