It's been a bit since I last played WoW.
I'm a newbie to WoW, purchased all the way to MoP, then found out my laptop just sucks.
Well the day before New Years, my new laptop just came in! So I'm trying this again.. should run pretty well. So, I'm coming back to have a blast!
Just a few of those annoying questions you probably hate hearing.. A LOT.
1. Which Realm should I join? All-time Question I bet and I'm sorry about that. It's just I'm looking for the "perfect" place to be in to find friends and join an awesome guild... so you know, I can play WoW for quite a long time.
2. These are my specs for WoW.. tell me if they are "Okayish" or "Good!" or something.
-Intel Core i7 2.2GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz
(Side question: How do I use the Turbo Boost?)
-Nvidia Geforce GT 650M
- 8 GB Ram
And that's about it for questions, if question #1 is REALLY annoying.. you don't have to answer it.
Maybe it's just best that I switch from realm to realm choosing guilds and checking them out?

US or EU? Best bet would probably be to read through the server forums on the official WoW forums, to try and get a feel for the population. Beyond that... I don't know. I've been on two different servers in my time here, and other than a population difference, the community didn't seem all that different between them. You'll find idiots everywhere, and you'll find good people everywhere.
Yes, that's more than enough to play WoW with. I would guess the Turbo is automatic, at least that's how it works on my laptop. So at idle it sits at the low speed, then when something starts heavily using the CPU it bumps the speed up.

Specs are fine.
If you like the chance of being attacked by other players (or want the opportunity to attack other players) at any time, PvP realm.
If you would rather focus on questing and leave the PvP to arenas and battlegrounds, then go with a PvE realm.
Pretty much the easiest way to decide.
