I am about to start another grind on a brewmaster tank. I have his full set to kick it off right but i have got to choose my weapon as i will have just enough tickets at DMF to pick it up after 4 games today/tomorrow. Which do you guys think would be the best 2 handed choice?
Barnished Warden Staff OR Repurposed Lava Predger

Well if you choose the mace you won't be able to use it as a monk so...

Steamhammer
Also as you are asking which weapon is better I think the shoulder armour should be ruled out. :p

i assume you meant mace or
Burnished Warden Staff
and the staff is better due too slower speed and higher weapon damage.
And the fact that monks can't use two handed maces lol.

As far as I'm aware, weapon speed/damage range is not important for special abilities anymore as of 5.0, only DPS.

He's wrong. Weapon speed is still important in general. The only time it doesn't matter is for ferals or for off-hand proc rates. As neither of these apply in our case, all other variables equal, a monk will prefer a slow weapon for the higher weapon damage.
