Keep checking them all.
The easiest to come by could be Ghostcrawler as he is not possible to kill.

Additional question, is there any way to tell if I'm in the correct phase for the 2 Hyjal cats?
I assume I did those quests but anyone know a wag to check?
I don't think the phase zone effects if you see the Spirits Beasts in that area. Since i once helped my Alliance friend ( i play Horde ) i couldn't see her, but we both saw the Spirit Beast.

Northrend Spirit Beasts

I tend to see them more often then the ones in Cata zones.
When i track these Spirit Beasts i tend to fly about only for a little while, then go check another location, finding Northrend Spirits Beasts i think is easy. Well if you have a 310% speed mount.
Start off with Grizzly Hills, since that is the only Spirit Beast that doesn't have more then one spawn point & doesn't move about much. Easy to spot, then head to Zul'drak, Storm Peaks, then Sholazar Basin. I tend to only spend about 10/15mins in a zone at a time. Then fly back to the others. Rinse & repeat.

"Good luck with finding more of them".

Karoma is pretty easy to get in Twilight Highlands if you don't like the purple cat.

Well, maybe you should tell him that a devilsaur is good for pvp then, rather than telling him a specific mob is good for pvp (Drek is no better than generic devilsaur 1).
Though I disagree, the mortal strike debuff from the devilsaur is on quite a long CD, so it would be better to apply it via Widow Venom, the 5% crit buff you also get from waterstriders, wolves and quilen, which are all smaller and less obvious.
Whether the 5% crit buff or the 3k mastery buff is better depends on whether you get buffed. If you get buffed the one you don't get is better (obviously), but if you don't get buffed, the mastery buff is arguably better. Both provide 5 converted points, 5% crit respectively 5 mastery. the 5 mastery translates to 10% increased damage done by your pet - including kill command. For PvE they are roughly equal, though the more gear you have (and thus the higher base crit and mastery you have) the more valuable the mastery becomes. For PvP the same is of course the case, but also you want to consider burst potentail, and for damage on demand, mastery wins, as it is always on. So for two equal rating values, here the mastery should win out over the crit buff.
