Resilience Cap Cataclysm

EDIT: Added more detail about the question to OP from my other post.
Hello,
I was wondering if there was a resilience cap for cataclysm? I know in wrath it was, presumably, 1300. Does anyone know whether there is a cap in place and what that percentage or rating might be?
i am asking about two cases:
CASE1: is there a point at which resilience no longer raises the percentage of damage reduction?
CASE2: is there a point at which the amount of resilience to raise damage reduction by 1% increases?
I believe one of these cases used to exist, i was wondering if anyone out there had any hard numbers for this yet for cataclysm?
Thanks
Thanks

Can never have enough resilience, 100% damage reduction would be the cap if any, but atm were only listed with basic pvp gear, more will come out soon and it will all change if your regarding to that matter of resil cap

1: I would assume 100% damage reduction.
2: 10% reduced damage is about 1000 resilience, so 1000/10=100 resilience for 1% reduction.

2: 10% reduced damage is about 1000 resilience, so 1000/10=100 resilience for 1% reduction.
I am not looking for assumptions (however, thank you).
Also, case2, i know how it converts.
Is there a point at which the amount of resilience to raise damage reduction by 1% increases?
Meaning, is there a point at which it becomes >100 resilience to get 1% reduction?

No.

Still awaiting some solid confirmation and proof on this matter. I am going to ticket a GM and see if i can get a response from them this way. I will post my results here in the OP once found and will comment on the findings with a reply.
If anyone else out there has solid results for this question please post your confirmed proof.
Thanks

Well on wowpedia it said this one resilience (though I don't think it had anything updated for level 85):
2% resilience reduces average incoming damage by 9.1% (a 4.48% increase over 1% resilience) and 3% resilience reduces incoming damage by 13.43% (a 4.33% increase over 2%). There's an insignificant diminishing returns effect on overall damage reduction for each additional point of resilience.

Resilience doesn't have diminishing returns.
Don't quote me on this, but I'm fairly sure that in fact it technically scales better the more you have (unlike armor which stays flat). Going from 0% to 20% will grant you 20% extra DR (A hit for 1000 will hit for 800). Going from 20% to 40% will grant you an extra 25% DR (a hit for 800 will hit for 600). But both jumps cost the exact same resilience to achieve.

It was 1414, but only crit damage reduction capped (33% reduction from crit damage would benefit no further from resillience). No other resillience component suffered DRs even before.

CBA to do your simple napkin math for you, I would even venture to bet your CPU has a calculator!
He's not asking for math, he's asking wether similar to dodge & parry there's a point at wich resilience starts to suffer diminishing returns and thus it's no longer favorable stacking it.
Obviously it should be impossible to get your resilience to 100% so there should be such a point, then again it might be linear all the way too since you can't ever get such an amount of resilience regardless even if you use the best pvp gear with all resi gems and enchants.
The only way to know for sure though would be to ask blizzard or get some good pvp gear yourself and well... do the math
edit: as far as I can check...
0 resi -> 301 resi
0% mit -> 3,16% mit
1844 resi -> 2145 resi
19,37% mit -> 22,53% mit
= 3,16% increase
conclusion: resilience does not suffer diminishing returns, atleast not up to 2145 resilience.
edit2: oh and case1 is nonexistant, for things affected by DR there is a point where the gain is negligible though, the gain per point sort of follows the graph of Sqrt(X), the Lim to +infinite being +infinite but increasing slower and slower over time.
edit3: and I think it's not case 2 either since if there'd be DR on it, the DR would be there from the start (see: dodge & parry) and I've proven that there's certianly no DR up to 2145, so we can strongly assume there's no DR at all.
He's not asking for math

math
Orllly?
Resil, -->XXXX 2xXXXX
redux% XX%= 2xXX if yes then yes, if no, then no?
This is pre HS math, Kid put fourth more effort begging for an awenser than useing his brain.
You're not a very nice person. Sad really.

Please, don't bring up threads already going into decay to point out just that. It's not worthy.
