Ive got to say, im a BM Hunter and im constantly at the top of the DPS charts in Instances. mainly because of my Pet (bear). He deals roughly 150 damage with each hit and 250 damage with each crit. Add that to my own 200 damage with each hit and 400 damage with each crit and you have awesome DPS. This is against enemies my level (48 - 50).

I'm with Paladingod, apparently no one has tried a Ruptureless Mutilate Rogue. Very hard to do.
Step 1 Garrote
Step 2 SnD
Step 3 Mutilate
Step 4 Mutilate
Step 5 Envenom
Step 6 Repeat steps 3-5 until boss dies, profit

A friend of mine once asked me how to improve his dps as an Unholy DK.
I made him a macro with his rotation, and with his crappy green/blue gear, he easily made it to 1800 dps.
As for Hunters they are not a simple dps class imho. There is A LOT to have in mind when dpsing as a hunter (Aspect, Cooldowns, Pet being happy, etc.).
Yeah hunters are pretty complex but they are nowhere near as complex as Feral Druid for example.

II've tried almost all dps classes in wow, rogue, warrior, paladin, warlock, mage, boomkin, dk, hunter, and leveling a priest, but of all of them, my elemental shaman has been my highest dps to date,
The point being each person will find there onw unique playstyle for there class and eventually find the class that suits them best. the order of my highest and best goes:
Shaman
Warlock
Balance druid
where as my melee classes and even my mage I can't seem to get above 4k dps in raids and 2.9k in dungeons.

Arcane Mage too easy?
Players like to wave this banner, but it's just not true. If all you do is look at their damage logs, yes, a lot of damage comes from Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles. Does that mean any Arcane mage can faceroll his way to 12,000 dps? Hardly. The good mages have a lot of things to manage in the way of mana and cooldowns.
"Requires skill" does not mean 20 sources of damage. It can also mean you have to juggle a lot to maximize the damage from 2 sources. That is the design of the mage in a nuthsell: a dominant nuke with a lot of infrastructure to prop up that nuke.
Off topic, I know, but this is a myth that needs to stop getting perpetuated
This is the same for pretty much all classes, no class/spec is hard to be good at, most of them are quite difficult to be great at

Moonkin.
Single target: Keep Insect Swarm and Moonfire up, then you're spamming either Wrath or Starfire. Force of Nature and Starfall as DPS bonuses.
Four or more targets (trash): Hurricane and/or Starfall.

Yeah hunters are pretty complex but they are nowhere near as complex as Feral Druid for example.
Feral druids are pretty straightforward, there's just a lot to remember, and a lot of DPS loss if you forget. SR (amount of points optional, to a degree) > Mangle debuff (which is now easy) > 5 CP Rip > Rake > Shred. Your priority rotation really only has as many things as a Ret paladin's priority system has. Five things you're supposed to keep up. The fact that your crit change and RNG play such a giant role in how it plays out is important to note, but not very strongly related to how skilled you are. You have to pay attention because you'll never know when you crit/clearcast, sure, but being skilled doesn't make your crit rating go up, it's just something you deal with and pay attention to.
Hunters may not have a complex rotation but keeping track of a pet throughout a fight is a completely different skillset from anything non-pet classes have to deal with.

funny how all these people claiming rogue DPS to be easiest have not mentioned anything about the Envenom Buff, Energy Pooling, Over Kill, Vanish, Cold Blood, Tricks of the Trade
All which need to be part of Mutilate Rogues Rotation
Hmmm....Total Pros
