... thought 1g was an outragous amount of money. (Didn't get more than 1g until mid 20s)
... stayed away from the main city thinking people would laugh at a level 10 being there.
... tried to go from IF to SW through Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes at level 12.
LOL Good times. That was my first character, about 2 1/2 years ago.
Any funny noobish things you did/thought?
Edit: Remembered another one
... thought that 2h weapons were dumb because they were so slow.

I thought...
facing two level 2 was suicide.
the game was limited to Northshire
that 10 silvers were a lot
one-handed weapon and shield did more damage than two-handed weapons
spreading out my points would provide all the benefits
that skill training was useless
level 20 was high
VC was for level 24+
I think i can go on forever...

The first time I explored Duskwood I was a bit low for that zone, and tried to grow eyes in the back of my head. I crossed the river from Elwyn Forest, and went through the woods. When I saw those glowing eyes under the dark bushes I thought I was in trouble. :)

OK, so when I first started WoW as a BElf Rogue... my brother had a 39 hunt at the time and "taught" me the "basics" and he taught me all the wrong stuff just to throw me off.
He told me that I can't find better armor/weps than the white common armor from the vendors, so I used 10S to buy a dagger from the guy and at the time I thought it was an insanely large amount of money and I bought it and I got a quest a bit latter for a green dagger and I was like WTF man...
Also I didn't know WTF a PvP mount was, so I thought I had to get exalted with everywhere if I wanted a cool mount... so I used all the gold I had for my first mount on silk/runecloth and then I asked my friend and learned about PvP mounts...
I tried to solo RFC at level 14.... so many more to say.

I didn't use any of my talent points until around level 40 because I thought that talent decisions were irreversable and permanant, which they were in the MMO I had come from, Ragnarok Online, and I was scared to make a mistake. ;)

Although that is a long time to go without talents, the loading screen does warn you about that so combined with your previous MMO and that, I can see how you'd be so cautious.
Also, I have used the talent calculators here so many times I'm surprised they don't know my name. ><

I built my main in iRO a certain way, then a later patch changed a mechanic and I was unable to benefit due to an insufficient rank of the skill. Upset me greatly to be forced "weaker." In WoW, the in-game loading screen tooltips were not implemented yet in my youth, so I had no idea respecs were even available. Some research wouldn't have killed me, but I liked to go out and discover things myself. ;)

I remember thinking coldridge valley in dun morogh was the only place the game was based. Once i found out that there were other places to go and that there were toons level 70 I started thinking i would never be like them. I also thought a few silver was a ton of money until i hit 20+. All in All the noob days seem like the best too me.
