Do
NOT
invest in resistance for PvP. Not only do your stats suffer badly, but any resistance you may get is easily broken through the cast stat Spell Penetration, which is more common on caster gear and supplements rather than replaces their stats.
Resistances are a PvE only stat. There are multiple tactics to use vs. casters. Do not get me wrong, they are the hardest as a warrior, but they are doable.
Also note that you cannot change armor in combat, which is the second reason why using resistance armor is a bad idea. Stack AP and Crit and murder them before they can you!
Vs. Mages
Mages are glass cannons. Very, very weak, yet deal exceptional damage. Here are some tips;
First of all,
always
have your PvP trinket on you. If you don't have one, get one.
Arms is the best PvP spec for a reason; most stuns/immobalizes from mages will proc Second Wind, giving you 10% health and 20 rage. Try and get them to proc this as much as you can!
Do
not
use intercept until they have used Blink. If you use Intercept early in the fight and they have Blink available, chances are you've lost the match.
Burst is your friend. Save rage until you get into close combat with them then
release hell!
Use Heroic Strike, Mortal Strike, and Slams as soon as you get within melee range. Also, assuming they have already burned Blink, Hamstring them to keep them close.
If they use Ice Block, force them out by bandaging. If they do Ice Block, chances are they are hurting and you only need one more burst to kill them. Use the best bandage you can and they will click off the buff(or allow you to heal which they will almost never do).
Vs. Warlocks
Warlocks are a bit easier than Mages, but do note that they will not set off Second Wind as much. Hope you get yourself a Destruction Lock who does not know that Shadowfury will help you =)
Locks are more powerful the longer the fight goes. The DoTs on you will tear you to pieces if you don't finish the fight quickly. As you grow weaker, he'll heal. Burst him down fast and furious!
Finally, stay in Berserker Stance! Use Berserker Rage whenever you need to break a fear or prevent one. preventing is always better than letting it land and having to break it. Use Deathwish near the beginning of the fight to burn him down quick. Finally, if both Deathwish and Berserker Rage are on cooldown, you can use you trinket to get out of his fear.
Hope this helped! I can't stress enough how useless Resistances are in PvP =) Don't use em!

Blink has a 15 sec cooldown, so unless you are specced 2/2 in Improved Intercept and with an Arena set for the extra 5 sec, mage can out blink your intercepts.
Fighting a frost mage is very difficult. If you dont charge him, he'll most likely use Frost Nova and root you to the ground first. You can luckily pull of a spell reflect, but if he recognize this he'll hold off his Frost Bolt for a few secs until your reflect wears off. If you trinket out of a Frost Nova, he'll likely sheep you after that. And if you get lucky and get his health down, he'll Summon his water elemental and Ice block so you can't bandage. Pyro and Arcane Mages are more manageable to fight.
Warlocks, unless they completely outgear you, you wont have much trouble. Just make sure to save your pummel when they cast Drain Life. Spam hamstring whenever you can, they'll most likely dot you and run around until you die.
Resistance is nice, but it's too focused on one certain damage type. Say if you stack on Frost Resistance, you'll be completely gimped when fighting other classes that doesn't have frost damage. You're better off stacking resilience, as it works when you're fighting any type of damage. But resilience doesn't start showing up until 60+ so you're mostly relying on burst damage with high Critical Chance% at lower levels. Also at lower levels you are at a disadvantage in PVP against other classes.

Nice necro, this is over 3 years old. If you want to ask a question then start a new thread.

I don't even understand how this happens. How does someone join a new forum and then suddenly find a 3 year old thread and decide "Yup, this is the first thing I want to reply to on this forum."

Maybe they are searching for a topic and not reading the dates? If that's what is happening, we need a public service announcement.

Since this is alive for a bit, can someone please explain the bandaging thing? Did Ice Block used to break for some reason wehn you got bandaged? =/

Nah. The mage Iceblocks so you can't do anything to him, so you bandage yourself. The mage sees this and goes "oh $%^&! I need to stop that health going up! /cancel Iceblock", at which point you go "lol, took the bait /pwn"
As someone else mentioned, a smart mage will pop his water elemental and sic it on you before he Iceblocks, so the bandage trick won't work.

Man, why the hell did I read it as the warrior bandages the mage?
