The Horde version of this follower, Calder Gray, is likely based on the unnamed shadow priest in Flintlocke vs. the Horde (who was nicknamed "Bubbles" by the comic's fans). As of this comment, the portrait and model are broken, but Calder Gray appears several times in Cataclysm content, and his face, skin color, hair color and class match those of the comic character. It's a tenuous connection, but all the other main characters from Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth and Flintlocke vs. the Horde are present as followers, so it makes sense the last main character would be a follower as well.

"Doc" Sweitzer is apparently available to both Horde and Alliance, which is appropriate as he is an Alliance character who somehow joined a Horde guild. The Alliance also has Bloodrose and Kathrena Winterwisp. Fargo Hammersmith looks suspiciously like Fargo Flintlocke, and shows up as a result on a Wowhead search for "Flintlocke". Stingratchet looks pretty much exactly like Lowping, and shows up as a result on a Wowhead search for "Lowping". Kathrena also appears as a questgiver in Darkshore, and Fargo Flintlocke plays a major role in some Alliance quests in Twilight Highlands.

Sadly, a Wowhead search for "Bubbles" does not lead to Calder Gray.

The Horde has Cheri, Gravy and Rok'tar. Gravy has also been working at the inn in the Valley of Honor since Cataclysm came out. Like Flintlocke, Rok'tar also has a tribute npc in Twilight Highlands, though the player has much less interaction with him than with Flintlocke.

Both comics were created by Dave "Fargo" Kosak, who now works at Blizzard as the Lead Narrative Designer for World of Warcraft. The comics were hosted on Gamespy, which has since been taken down, but they can still be viewed using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.

Calder Gray can also be found as a Cataclysm quest-giver in the Southern Barrens.

I was looking around for any tips on how to get him but I couldn't find much, here's what I've got :)

He can be recruited through the Frostwall Tavern or Lunarfall Inn. I was lucky enough to have him pop up with 2 other random NPCs with the Scavenger trait. I would recommend to search for him via the abilities though, as I'm not sure if I was just mega lucky or if he comes with Scavenger all the time.

Good luck getting your crazy (and awesome) shadow priest, much, much too fond of stitching bodyparts to places where they don't belong. :)

Some of the comments that comes out of this guys mouth when you stand near him in your garrison is hilarious.

Comments like "How are you doing Commander? Are you happy with your arms? Would you like... a third? You know who to talk too" and "I was wondering if i had your permission to 'experiment' on some of the guards...?" and the best one is "Most of the other followers have redundant kidneys. You wouldn't mind if i 'borrowed' a few? The bathtub is ready"
